Muscle wall thickness: measured as a single hypoechoic layer between serosa and echogenic submucosa. (muscle thickness exaggerated for illustration) Note: PRETERM INFANTS. Borderline muscle thickness measurements are more likely to occur in premature infants than in term infants.
