REGISTRATION CLOSURE Registration will close on March 5th 2012 at 18:00, after this date registration will only be possible at the Sport Expo on 9th and 10th March 2012. ATTENTION!! Registration will close, unless different communications, at 3.000 participants. The Organizing Committee will have the right to close registration for other organizational reasons.

REGISTRATION FEE REFUND Registration fee are not refundable. Anyhow to the athletes unable to take part at the LMHM 2012 we offer the option to transfer the registration to the LMHM 2013 communicating to the organization the inability to take part by the 01/03/2012 and paying a supplement cost of 5,00. CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION/CONFIRMATION LETTER It will be possible to check registrations on www.lagomaggiorehalfmarathon.com, under section Verify Registration, from January 10th 2012; registration can be check only 10 working days after sending the documentation required. ATTENTION!! Starting from 01/03/2012 every participant MUST download the Confirmation Letter from TDS website (www.tds-live.com), print it, sign it and show it when collecting the start number at the Sport Expo.

START NUMBER ELECTRONIC CHIP It is responsibility of each participant to endorse the BIB number and the electronic chip; it is strictly forbidden to modify the BIB number. Participant racing without or with modified BIB number or without chip will be immediately disqualified. On race day it will not be possible, in case of loss, to change or request a substitutive BIB number. ATTENTION!! Participants not returning the electronic chip after the race will be charged with 25,00.

SPORT EXPO START NUMBER, START BAG AND OFFCIAL GADGET BIB numbers and start bags (except the Official Gadget delivered after the race upon restitution of chip) can be collected at the Sport Expo at Palazzo dei Congressi of Stresa with address at Piazzale Europa, 3 28838 Stresa (VB), during 9th, 10th and 11th of March 2012 with following Opening Hours: 9th March 2012 from 15:00 to 20:00 10th March 2012 from 10:00 to 20:00. 11th March 2012 from 07:00 to 09:45 (Sport Expo open until 17:00) On race day it will be possible to collect BIB numbers only for athletes already registered that can reach the Start Area (Verbania Pallanza) by panoramic boats. (ATTENTION! Last boat leaving from Stresa at 10:00 a.m.) ATTENTION!! On race day BIB numbers can be collected only at the Sport Expo in Stresa (Start Area) with no possibility to collect BIB numbers at the Start Area (Verbania Pallanza). The Organizing Committee guarantees the capacity for all participants but not the capacity for single transfer. Therefore we advise all participants using Panoramic Boats to reach the Start Area to choose early morning ferry boats.

TIME LIMIT TRAFFIC REOPENING After the time limit, the organization will not guarantee the safety conditions and the full closure of roads reopening at: Maximum time last runner and traffic reopening: 5 Km 0h45 traffic reopen at 11:45 10 Km 1h30 traffic reopen at 12:30 15 Km 2h15 traffic reopen at 13:15 20 km 2h50 traffic reopen at 13:50 Finish 3h00 traffic reopen at 14:00 ATTENZIONE!! All participants wishing to complete the race, even if they are out of time limit, must TAKE OFF their BIB number and respect the Italian Traffic Laws.

REFRESHMENT/SPONGE POINTS As per IAAF/AIMS regulation there will be a Refreshment Points at every 5Km, therefore at Km 5, 10, 15 and at the Finish. There will be also Sponge Points at Km 7.5/12.5/17.5. This distances can be subject to variations due to organizational reasons. Every participant will receive in his Start Bag just one sponge to be used along the course where basins with fresh water are available. The choice of providing just one sponge is to reduce the impact in the environment. 3

We also ask to participants to throw bottles, paper cups etc. near the Refreshment Points, in order to facilitate the cleaning operations. SHOWERS/WC/ Participants can use showers in Stresa at school Rebora (Viale Virgilio) or the soccer playground (Via Fiume) from 12:00 to 16:00. WC can be found at the Start/Finish Area and along the course. FIRST AID RETIRED ATHLETES Medical assistance is provided at the Start/Finish Area and along the course. An ambulance with a BUS will also follow the race. Retired athletes or participants that require medical assistance has to wait for it at the Refreshment/Sponge Points. TIMING Timing will be provided by TDS - Timing Data Service and will be homologated by the Italian Athletic Federation. Sensor along the course will record final real time and split times at Km 5, 10 and 15. Participants not recorded at Timing Points will be automatically disqualified. PACEMAKERS There will be a pacemakers service helping participants to reach their planned final time. Pacemakers will be available for 1h30' (average 415/Km) - 1h45' (average 500/Km) - 2h00' (average 545/Km) - 2h15' (average 630/Km). CHANGING ROOMS Start Area: Participants can use Changing Rooms located on Verbania Pallanza lakeside nearby the start gate. Finish Area: Participants can use Changing Rooms located inside the Sport Expo open until 17:00. ATTENTION!! Changing Rooms are not guarded, the organization decline any responsibility in case of damage, loss or theft.

DEPOSIT BAG Every participants will receive a plastic bag within a sticker (with his start number printed on it) that need to be fixed to deposit bags. At the Start Area in Verbania Pallanza there will be trucks where participants can deliver their deposit bag; after the race participants can collect their bags at the Finish Area by showing their BIB number. The organization decline any responsibility in case of damage, loss or theft; therefore we advise to dont leave any valuable item inside the bags. ATTENTION!! Delivery of deposit Bags at the Start Area only from 09:00 to 10:30; only bags provided by the organization will be accepted.

VEHICLES ON THE COURSE Any vehicle, including bicycles, is forbidden inside the course; transgressors will be persecuted. FOTO AND VIDEO Participants can purchase photos and videos on www.lagomaggiorehalfmarathon.com. RANKING RACE CERTIFICATE Ranking will be available on www.lagomaggiorehalfmarathon.com where all classified athletes can download, free of charge, their Race Certificate. PRIZE MONEY OTHER PRIZES The first seven Men/Women of General Ranking will be awarded as follow: 1 900 - 2 600 - 3 400 - 4 200 - 5 100 - 6 50 - 7 50 The first five Men/Women of the following Age Categories will be awarded, with products, as follow (prizes not cumulative with Prize Money above): HANDBIKE/WHEELCHAIR JUNIORES SENIORES PROMESSE AMATORY (Unique Category) MM/MF 35-40-45-50-55-60-65 and over Prize giving will take place exclusively on race day during the Award Ceremony (from 14:00 to 15:00) at the Finish Area.
