Lenten Services begin this Wednesday with supper at 6:00 p.m. A special Ash Wednesday service with Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes will be held in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. During Lent we will collect the following items for Sunnyside Ministry: bar soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, cereal, oatmeal, soup, tomato products, and Ramen noodles. There will be a plastic bin in the Fellowship Hall in which to place donations. Next Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion for Lent and the band will play a prelude at 9:15 a.m. Come early to hear them! Heritage Night celebrating our 125th Anniversary will be Sunday, March 4 beginning at 5:30 p.m. with an old fashioned potluck supper. We will have displays of old pictures and memorabilia from our archives along with historical displays of things you have to share from Oak Groves history. Please let Pastor Allen know what you plan to bring and share. Loves UMC Adult Fellowship has been rescheduled from its usual third Tuesday of the month to Tuesday, February 28th at 12:00 noon.
