In Local News Lets start with the story that is closest to home. Yesterday, around 1:30pm, Kean students participated in a walkout of their classes, as a result of the Board of Trustees Wednesday night decision to keep Dr. Dawood Farahi as the president of our university. Right outside of the University Center, Gizeth Cruz, a sophomore here at Kean, told students the ground rules for the march that would take place at 3:30pm. When the time came over 100 Kean students marched down to the

office of state Sen. Raymond Lesniak (LESS-NEE-AK). The students were protesting in the rain and cold, chanting, hey, ho, Farahi must go, and carrying signs, where on in particular read, I was a dean at Harvard. Can I have a job. Unfortunately, Lesniak was not in his office when they arrived, however he was reached by phone. Lesniak said "It would be very irresponsible for me to deviate from that," he said referring to the boards vote of confidence. "Its not up to a politician to make that decision. Its up to the board."

He feels Farahi has changed Kean for the better.
