Subject: - Two-day National Seminar on Regional Disparities in Social Sector Development in India. Dear Sir / Madam, We are glad to inform you that the Department of Economics is organizing a two-day National Seminar on Regional Disparities in Social Sector Development in India under the Special Assistance Programme sanctioned by the University Grants Commission. The seminar will be held on 16th-17th March, 2012 in the Department of Economics, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. We are inviting scholars and teachers who have worked in this area for this seminar. In view of your experience and expertise in this subject, I request you to write a paper on the themes mentioned below. In order to have an indepth discussion on Regional Disparities in Social Sector Development in India, the following sub themes are identified:

1. Disparities and Problems in Social Sector Development, 2. Interlinks between Social Sector, Welfare Economics and Environment, 3. Education and Economic Growth, 4. Health Economics, 5. Economic Dimensions of Health care, 6. Social Sector Expenditure and its Impacts Paper Submission: The research paper/article alongwith abstract should be sent as an e-mail attachment to the: ccrd2011@gmail.com You are also requested to send two hard copies of research papers and abstract along with one soft copy to SAP Office, Department of Economics, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad-431 004 (M. S.) on or before 01 March, 2012. The paper should be in Times New Roman with font size 12(For Titles 14) and line space 1.5. Article should be typed in MS-word and in English only. Title page should include article title, author(s) name with affiliation, corresponding authors address, Tel., Fax and e-mail. Paper presentation is compulsory, without paper presentation, only attendance certificate shall be given. At the end of the paper a reference list in alphabetical order must be given as followsFor Books: Surname, initials, (year), title, publisher, place of publication. For Articles: Surname, initials, (year), title, Journal, volume (number), pages, place of publication

Registration fee of Rs. 700/- will be charged to the teachers and research students & Rs. 350/for M. A. Students. No T. A. and D. A. will be paid to the Paper Presenters / Participants by the Department.
