Slug: Mars Simulation (Anchor Lead) Could you imagine living in cramped living conditions for 520 days traveling to Mars? (VO) An International space crew made up of three Russians, a Frenchman, Italian-Columbian, and a Chinese walked out of a set of windowless modules in Moscow, Russia on Friday. They completed a 520 day simulation flight to the Red Planet. Everything was simulated to make it as close to the real thing; cramped living conditions, stress and fatigue, minus the weightlessness. The crew even conducted a mock landing and collected specimens from the planet. The crew will hold a press conference in three days.

Slug: College Costs (Anchor Lead) A new study says that students are paying more for college, but colleges are spending less on educating them. (VO) With government aid declining, colleges are having to slash their spending. Colleges still claim that tuition does not cover anywhere close to educating a student. While this is true, students are still paying the greater share when you take out scholarships and grants. In 2006 students paid about half the cost of their education at public and research universities. That is up about 10 percentage points from 2002. The Delta Project, a non-profit organization aims to increase college affordability by controlling costs without sacrificing quality. Jane Wellman, executive director of the Delta Project predicts that the problem will only get worse. Slug: Greece (Anchor Lead) The economic turmoil in Greece is threatening its membership in the European Union. (VO) Greeces Prime Minister, George Papandreou formed an interim government on Sunday to ensure the countrys new European debt deal. Initially Papandreou was to resign from his post, however on Thursday he withdrew from that plan even after heavy opposition from European leaders. Papandreou will remain in power until the new government is formed. This crisis began on October 31 after Papandreou wanted to put the debt deal that would rescue his country to a referendum. Since then international stock markets have fallen.

Slug: Wedding Photos (Anchor Lead) A Manhattan man wants to recreate his wedding with his divorced wife. (VO) Todd Remis is suing H&H Photographers for the pictures and videos of his 2003 wedding not being up to his standards. Now Remis is looking to receive $48,000 in order to hire another company to take photographs of his wedding the second time around and to fly all of the principals into New York. It will be difficult to re-enact the wedding however as Remis former wife moved back to her native Latvia after they divorced in 2010. Remis claims that despite the way their marriage ended, memories of a wedding last a lifetime. H&H Photographers is known fondly by many former and current Bronx residents for chronicling Bar Mitzvahs, weddings, and communions. The suing comes as a surprise to many. H&H owner Curt Fried just chuckled at Remis idea. Slug: WWII Bombs (Anchor Lead) Two bombs from World War II were successfully defused in Germany. (VO) 45,000 residents of the city Koblenz; situated on the Rhine and Moselle Rivers were evacuated for the defusing which took place on Sunday. The bombs were hidden for 65 years in the rivers. Once the water levels dropped to record lows last week, the bombs were discovered. The bombs were dropped by U.S. and British forces during the last few years of the war. It is estimated that there were 257 British air bombs dropped on Koblenz, it is unknown how many of them did not explode.
