Congratulations on purchasing a Winplus Home Automation Lamp Module Need To Know Please read before you begin. 1.

. Please read all instructions carefully in order to ensure correct installation. Although at first glance this technology may appear complex it is really quite simple. Once you understand the concept of Winplus Home Automation installation becomes easy and the possibilities are endless. 2. The Winplus Home Automation range is made up of Modules and Controllers. Modules receive signals and initiate commands to control the devices that are connected to them. Controllers (which include remotes) send the signal to the modules. Controllers are in orange packaging and Modules are in blue packaging. Kits, which include both modules and controllers, are in green packaging. 3. All networks require a common factor for 2 way communication. In your Winplus Home Automation network the common factor is the house code. You can control up to 16 modules with 1 house code, multiple house codes can be used in a single home. You can change the house code on all modules (refer to specific instructions). 4. All modules in your Winplus Home Automation network need to have a unique unit and/or house code for individual control. Different modules with the same house and unit code will activate simultaneously. Refer to each modules instructions for details on how to change these codes. 5. Wireless control of your Winplus Home Automation network requires a Winplus Home Automation Transceiver. The transceiver receives a radio frequency signal from a Winplus Home Automation controller, converts the signal to X10 and passes it down the power lines to your Winplus Home Automation modules. There are 2 transceivers in the Winplus range available for individual sale, the Transceiver Module (HA114) and the All Code Transceiver (HA136). All Kits with wireless controllers include a transceiver module. Please note: Multiple transceivers on the same house code will affect the performance of your Winplus Home Automation network. In most cases only one transceiver is required per household, unless you have a particularly large house. The Transceiver Module (HA114) is able to process all 16 House codes when set to House code P. This is useful when you have modules and controllers using different House codes in different areas of the home. i.e. House code A is used in the kitchen and House code B is used in the lounge room. You can then control up to 256 individual modules without having to manually change house codes on the Transceiver. The Security Starter Kit console doubles as a transceiver. 6. More information about the individual modules, starter kits and controllers can be found on our website: www.winplus.com.au Here you will also find answers to frequently asked questions, hints and tips. Important Safety Precautions Modules and transceivers are used in conjunction with electricity; take care to avoid electrocution and damage. When modules and transceivers are connected keep away from children, use only as intended and do not insert foreign objects into the electrical sockets. Never open the modules and transceivers as this will void the warranty and may cause injury. Never place modules or controllers in or near water.

Step 1
Install the Lamp Module (HA113) Note The Lamp Module requires a Winplus Home Automation Controller (sold separately) to function. The Lamp Module responds to X10 commands send over your existing power lines. To control your Lamp Module using a Winplus Home Automation wireless remote control you will require a Transceiver (HA114, HA136 or HA109 Security Starter Kit. All sold separately) Important For best results connect lights or lamps with incandescent (standard filament) globes. Fluorescent globes with bayonet fittings may not be dimmable. The Lamp Module has a load limit of 300 Watts and requires a minimum of a 40 Watt globe (incandescent) or fluorescent equivalent.

1. Determine if you need to change the house code. If so, set the house code (A P) and the unit code (1 16) on the rotary wheels using a flathead screw driver. The default house code is set to A. 2. Plug the light or lamp you intend to automate into the Lamp Module, make sure the light or lamp is switched on. More than one lamp can be plugged into the Lamp Module using a power board or double adaptor. The combined wattage of each lamp must not exceed 300 Watts. Power boards or double adaptors with surge protection may inhibit the function of the Lamp Module. 3. Turn power point on. 4. Plug the Lamp Module into the selected power point. 5. Your Lamp Module is now ready to receive a signal from a controller (sold separately). If you are experiencing trouble with your Lamp Module repeat steps 1 to 5 or refer to Troubleshooting guide www.winplus.com.au. To turn a lamp connected to the Lamp Module on or off with out using a controller, simply turn the lamp switch off, then on again (do not turn power point off). This temporarily bypasses the connected module, there is no need to reset the Lamp Module, it will continue to function as programmed.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have now completed the setup of your Winplus Home Automation Lamp Module. You can expand your Winplus Home Automation network by purchasing additional modules and controllers.
