Gastric-acid pump inhibitor: suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the hydrogen potassium ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells; blocks the final step of acid production.

Shot-term treatment for erosive esophagitis and symptomatic gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD) poorly responsive to other treatment. Omeprazole is used for the long-term treatment of pathologic hypersecretory conditions and active duodenal cancer. It is a maintenance healing of erosive esophagitis. Omeprazole can also be used in the treatment of H. pylori associated with duodenal ulcer and active benign gastric ulcers. It is also used in the prevention and treatment of NSAID-induced ulcers.

Contraindicated Side Effects with hypersensitivity to omeprazole or its y Headache components. Use y Diarrhea cautiously with y Abdominal pain pregnancy, lactation. y Nausea y Dizziness y Asthenia (loss of strength) y Vomiting y Constipation y Upper respiratory tract infection y Back pain y Rash y Cough Adverse Reactions None known.

-Give before meals -Do not crush or chew tablets, swallow whole -Evaluate for therapeutic response like relief of Gastrointestinal symptoms -Question if Gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and diarrhea occurs.

Diphenhydramine is parkinsonism or drugan antihistamine used induced extrapyramidal for treating allergic effects reactions. When histamine binds to its receptors on cells, it stimulates changes within the cells that lead to sneezing, itching, and increased mucus production. In addition, they prevent histamine from binding and stimulating the cells. Diphenhydramine also blocks the action of acetylcholine and is used as a sedative because it causes drowsiness. T

Caution the client that the medication may cause drowsiness, creating difficulties or hazards or other activities that require alertness. Explain to the client that arising quickly forms a lying or sitting position may cause orthostatic hypotension. When taking these medications, the client needs to have blood cells counted. Explain to the client that use of these drugs in warm weather may increase the likelihood of heatstroke.
