White Birch Paper is a manufacturer of high-quality newsprint, directory paper and paperboard, with mills located in the United States and Canada.

At White Birch Paper, we count on the performance of our plant and equipment, the diligence of our people, and the quality of our products to satisfy all of our customers' needs. Today White Birch Paper operates four pulp and paper mills; three in Canada and one in the United States of America. Together, these mills produce more than 1.3 million tons of newsprint and directory paper with up to 50 percent recycled content. Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, White Birch Paper is a privately owned, family-run business that manufactures and ships paper products to customers in North America and all over the world. History 1941 1973 Creation of BATO Company Inc. BATO Company Inc. acquires F.F. Soucy paper and pulp mill in Rivire-duLoup, Qubec. In partnership with DOW JONES and REXFOR, Soucy builds a second paper machine at Rivire-du-Loup. Bear Island Paper, a greenfield mill, begins newsprint production in December 1979 in Ashland, Virginia. BATO Company Inc. is changed to Brant-Allen Industries, Inc. Bear Island begins the operation of its newly built recycled fiber facility. Bear Island's recycled fiber facility expands. Stadacona mill in Qubec City doubles the company's newsprint capacity, while adding directory and paperboard diversification to its business. Specialties
Star-Eco our new Star-Eco sheets are produced from 100% deinked pulp with FSC certified fibres offering improved brightness and print gloss. Our sheet is process chlorine free, which combined with a very low carbon footprint makes it an excellent environmental choice. Manufactured in our mill in Quebec City, Canada.
