Episode 1
Jamie Gonzalez lives in Los Angeles, California, where she studied Spanish in high school Northgate. is the last day of classes and also her last year of high school. In the fall will attend UCLA, but first, Jamie and one Spanish studentwill spend the summer in Mexico. They will livewith Mexican families. Both want to know the country and speak much Spanish but additionalJaime has a mission: to find out about life and death of her grandmother, Dona Josefa de Gonzalez, also known as Catrina. Although James does not know, other people of Queretaro with a great interest in La Catrina and Jamie's arrival to the city. In the confusion with her name, the Mexican family who will live with Jamie thinks she is a boy. Vocabluary:

Episode 2
The father and mother of Carlos insists that Jamie cannot stay at their home. They do not want a scandal.But then where will Jamie live? The solution: in the house of his friends, the Linares. It's a family with a daughter, Maria, who is close friends with Carlos and is of the same age as Jamie. The next day, Jamie accompanies Maria when attending school. Meanwhile, at the Central Library of Queretaro, Demetrio Alcocer, the director, speaks with Detective Santana and says he must continue his work watching Jamie. Meanwhile, outside the house of Linares, a car passes slowly: its Don Silvestre Aguilar, an important man in the region and a candidate for Congress. Vocabulary:

Episode 3
In the morning Jamie and Maria go to theArchangel, the Navarro family restaurant. Carlos isthere and the three eat breakfast. Jamie tries the chilaquiles, a house specialty. In the afternoon they visit the House of the Magistrate. She was very important in Queretaro during the independence movement in Mexico. The owner of an antique shop informs Jamie where she can get more information about her great-grandmother. The next day they visit San Miguel de Allende, where Jamie does some clothes shopping. Then, while Jamie, Mary and Carlos are eating at the restaurant at Hotel Jacaranda, Don Silvestre Aguilar, the owner, sitting at a nearby table, talks nervously with his assistants about a will. Episode 4
In a phone conversation, Silvestre Aguilar tells Demetrio, the library director, it would be better not to get into the subject's of dona Josefas will. The threat is very clear: Demetrio has few years before retiring with a pension. Aguilar is very powerful in the region. If Demetrio loses his job, he also loses his pension. Jamie introduces him to Maria and the three decide to go swimming in the pool. Felipe insists that he can not swim very well but once in water, Maria says that he is kidding. Episode 5
The Navarros want Carlos to work in the restaurant tonight, but Carlos wants to attend a party. When his father gets angry, Carlos says he's going to work and after all it is just a party. At the party Maria and Felipe get to know better. Jamie comes up with an idea: why cant all three go to the restaurant El Arcangel to cheer up Carlos? Carlos is somewhat depressed, but is delighted to see Jamie. Then comes a fax indicating that if Jamie goes to the library, she can find the information she are looking for. Vocabulary:
