Please note that online questionnaires need to be completed by this Sunday 6th February.

Year 3 Trip
On Thursday 23rd February Year 3 visited Caerleon in Wales. We visited the Roman Baths and learned about how the Romans used to relax, socialise and keep clean. Next we saw the remains of the barracks where they used to live. After that we walked to the Amphitheatre remains and fought like gladiators only pretend! Our favourite part of the day was visiting the Capricorn Centre where we got to dress up as Roman soldiers and experience what life was like in the barracks as well as experiencing a Roman feast of dormice, peacock brains and boars head! Finally we entered the museum where we were able to see all the real Roman artefacts that have been found in Caerleon. We had a fantastic day and decided that we would have liked to have lived in the Roman times - but only if we were rich!

Teachers will be reading their favourite snippets from books they love at the beginning of lessons; the Readathon sponsored challenge will be launched and the children will be given the opportunity to swap books so please send your child in with a book which they have read and would like to pass on to someone else. Make sure it is wrapped and that it says whether it is for a girl or boy. Also, please send in photos of your child in unusual locations reading a book and make it a day when you enjoy a good read too! Also dont miss the Book Fair which will begin on Friday March 2nd and which will last for a week. All children will get a chance to visit the book fair and Upper School parents will also be able to browse the books on Parents Evening. The school will earn commission on book sales and we are still buying books for the library.
