in this context, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between e-waste Agency (EWA), Umicore (Precious Metal Refining) of Belgium and E-Parisaraa Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.
In 1988, Government of India started a project Crop Acreage and Production Estimation (CAPE) to collect the statistics of Agricultural Output. But to forecast of Crops at sowing stage requires weather data and information of economic factors. So "Forecasting Agricultural output using Space, Agro meteorological and Land based observations (FASAL)" was designed. The main aim was to collect Monsoon data through remote sensing, economic data and monitoring of crops when growing. The programme is sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture. ALPHA FACTOR is the concept which basically measures the inherent volatility of a particular share. REER MODEL There is difference between the exchange rate of a currency and the real value of a currency. A Nominal Effective Exchange Rate (NEER) is weighted with the inverse of the asymptotic trade weights. A Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) adjusts NEER by appropriate foreign price level and deflates by the home country price level. Thus REER model is more useful in determining the real value of a currency.

On the lines of the G Mark of Japan & Red Dot of Germany, the India Design Council has an ambitious plan to introduce an I-Mark, that will label and recognize good design (in terms of creativity, ethics, sustainability, environmentfriendliness and competitiveness) in India. In this context, an MoU between the IDC and the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO) was signed recently. Gaza Freedom Flotilla was an aid flotilla of six ships carrying 663 activists from 37 nation and the activists were planning to break through the Israeli Egyptian blockade of Gaza and deliver humanitarian supplies. The Israel had said that the flotilla has to change the course to the port of Ashdod where the Israeli Government would inspect the aid and deliver the items that were not banned by Israel in Gaza. Green Hiker campaign is the name of a new compaign by World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF-India) launched on June 04, 2010 in New Delhi. The idea is to encourage the tour operators to adopt better practices for disposal of waste in the Himalayas and protect the fragile ecosystem. the compaign will cover the Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, aims to reach out to tour operators and tourists and encourage them to adopt responsible practices towards reducing the impact of tourism on the fragile ecosystem of the Himalayas.
