Heart Choices will host its 11th annual Spring Fundraising Banquet on Thursday, April 12, at Beloit Municipal Building beginning at 7:00 p.m. The speaker for this years event will be Kirk Walden. Kirk is a former pregnancy care center director who founded LifeTrends, a company that assists life-affirming ministries in communication, development, and public relations. He is a writer, consultant, confidant and friend to Kirk Walden pregnancy centers. To audiences across America, Kirk is a humorist whose real-life stories motivate, challenge and envision. A night with Kirk Walden is an evening filled with humor, challenge, vision and hope. Kirk, who spent nearly nine years as a single father of three children, tells a story of emotional struggle turned to triumph, and a story of Gods faithfulness through trial. He also tells the story of pregnancy care ministries, where spiritual battles are won by bringing hope to hurting hearts. Wherever he goes, Kirk is sure to hear the question: How did you raise three children, carry a full-time job, start your own company and become a national speaker at the same time? His answer may surprise you. Kirk lives in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children. I hope that you will plan to attend the banquet this year and consider inviting a friend or co-worker to attend with you to acquaint them with the impact Heart Choices is having in our communities. We have been amazed at the many women and men God has put in our paths from our local community, and as far away as Smith Center, Mankato, Belleville, and Sylvan Grove. We are also happy to meet clients in Concordia on an appointment basis at 910 W. 11th Street (basement of Cloud County Health Dept.), and are exploring a location to see clients in the Osborne area, as well. Volunteers and support will be the key to successful expansion in both of these areas. If you feel led to help in some way, please contact us! May God bless each of you on your spiritual journey and, once again, we say THANK YOU for helping us help others in His name!

A Different Kind of Love

Contemporary Christian Recording Artists, Eternity Focus joined our Sexual Integrity volunteers last November for an amazing event for area high school girls. The girls from Eternity Focus provided awesome music and gave a wonderful message on the ABC's of Being a Girl. We also had great fun with Minute-to-Win-It games, door prizes and each girl was happy to take home the free, specially designed conference tee shirt. We had 38 girls attend and we received great comments from them on our evaluations. I would like to share some of those comments with you: --I loved hanging out eating with Lainika. :-) you girls rock the church. -- The ABC's of Being a Girl made me question some of the things I do and I want to get a closer relationship with God. --This conference was a great combination of serious and funny. --I loved being surrounded by girls! and I loved the singing and the dance! Loved it all! --I enjoyed the music and the A, B, C's. Also the girls are very honest and heartfelt and I feel they have made a difference in my life and can in a lot of girls lives! Thank you. --It was really good actually. I wasn't that excited because I've been to a lot of conferences but I've never been so emotionally moved during the music and prayer time when people went forward. --The talks were worth the afternoon here to feel loved! Thank you girls. The event was enjoyed by all including the volunteers who helped to make this happen. We loved it so much we would be willing to do a similar event in the future.
