Operators (number of operators) T701 Local operators Number of fixed network operators offering telecommunications in the local networks, facilities based or resale. The same operator offering also other services should be counted separately for each of the services specified. T702 National operators Number of fixed network operators offering national long distance telecommunications, facilities based or resale. T703 International operators Number of operators providing international telecommunication services. T704 Mobile network operators Number of mobile (except satellite) telecommunication operators, facilities based T7041 Mobile resale operators Number of mobile (except satellite) telecommunication operators, resale. T7042 UMTS operators Number of mobile telecommunication operators offering UMTS (Wideband CDMA) or comparable high-speed mobile networks (IMT-2000 (3G)) T705 Cable operators Number of cable service providers for interactive telecommunication (telephony, data services etc., not only TV), excluding pure programme distribution. Employment (person-years in Full Time Equivalents (FTE) and numbers T101 Number of employed persons (FTE) Average-of-the-year staff employed by telecommunication operators, facilities based or resale, and other telecommunication service providers, expressed in full-time equivalents. Part-time staff should be included in full-time equivalents. T1011 Number of employed persons Average-of-the-year staff employed by telecommunication operators, facilities based or resale, and other telecommunication service providers, expressed in absolute numbers, Part-time staff should be included.

Investment (Mio. National Currency) T201 Investment Total gross tangible investment for acquiring property (land or buildings) and plant (e.g. switching equipment, computer hardware and software, office machinery, motor vehicles). Intangible investment Acquisition of licences, patents, property rights and other intangible objects.

Turnover (Mio. National Currency) T301 Total turnover This should exclude revenues from non-telecommunications services. Revenues (turnover) consist of earnings from telecommunications services during the financial year under review. Revenue sharing with the Internet Service Providers and other service providers should be included. Revenues from leased lines Revenues from the provision of leased lines (circuits). Revenues from fixed networks Revenues from the provision of national telecommunication services in the fixed networks, excluding leased lines. Revenues from mobile networks Revenues from the provision of cellular mobile telecommunications services. Revenues from interconnection services Revenues from the provision of interconnection services i.e. services provided by one telecommunications organisation to another for the purpose of the conveyance of messages and information between the two systems and including any auxiliary services not elsewhere specified. Revenues from provision of Internet services Revenues from the provision of Internet services (provision of access lines excluded). Revenues for external services Revenues collected for other service providers for goods and services they have provided, for instance tickets Revenues from roaming Revenues charged for roaming of other operators customers

International receipts and payments (Mio. National currency) T401 Receipts of telecommunication services This should include income received from foreign telephone operators for completing calls originating in a foreign country. Payments of telecommunication services This include charges received from subscribers for placing outgoing calls after deduction of the share of this income to be paid to other organizations for outgoing telecommunications traffic (operators of the incoming and possibly transit countries.

Infrastructure (number of subcribers/users) T601 Main telephone lines A main line is a telephone line connecting the subscriber's terminal equipment to the public switched network and which has a dedicated port in the telephone exchange equipment. This term is synonymous with the term main station or Direct Exchange Line (DEL) that are commonly used in telecommunication documents. It may not be the same as an access line or a subscriber. The ISDN subscriptions should not be here. Fixed wireless subscribers should also be included. Leased lines Leased lines (also known as private circuits) provide fixed unswitched communication link between two points. ISDN Number of subscriptions to the Integrated Services Digital Network, not specifying, whether basic or primary rate interface service: not number channels.
