From the Pastors Desk - Spreading the Gospel Message

sometimes hitting the mark! Yes, as a pastor, I know we are not perfect. I often struggle over Gods Word as I share it with you. I can not help but look at the preacher in the caption and say just call that number if my words hit you the wrong way today. Or for that matter, call if it is good. Let God know ! Seriously though, as we come, imperfect as we are, we are all called to carry Gods message into this world and share Gods love and mercy with a hurting, lost, and dying people. As we come, try not to dwell on the imperfections. Know they are there and know that God allows for them, covers for them, and takes care of them. Come not worrying focus on taking to others What God does bring! This Lenten season we reflect on what that was: the Love and Saving Grace of Jesus Christ who walked among us, died for us, and rose again so we too may rise from the depths of our ashes from sin into the light of the Son! Stand up church! Stand up today and take not an imperfect person into the world, but the perfect Word of the Living God!!!

Special points of Interest

The Mens Group will be meeting on Sunday, March 4th at 7:46 AM. Pastor Bruce and his family will be out of town the 1st weekend of March. Andrea and Rich will be leading a service on The Stations of the Cross The United Methodist Women will be meeting back in April 2012.

As we are now in this season of Lent, I am reminded as I am each year of just how imperfect I am. But isnt that part of the purpose of the Lenten Season: to see our imperfections. Yes; and then there is the other part, working on those imperfections. How much easier life would have been if Wesley had not said that we must strive for perfection and God had said to follow His commands. Yet here we are; imperfect as ever, striving always,
