Our winter theme flew in one way or anothright by, and the sunny weather sure er. If you haven't had a chance to see it on our website, I encourage you to take a peek! There are a few new smile box videos on there as well. If you ever want to For those of you who drop your child off at school and park in the East parking lot, please be aware talk about your childs progress please feel free to email me or drop in. My door is always open. that the front row is for staff parking. You are welcome to park directly behind that row. This ensures that the staff has a place to plug in their cars.

The Theme of the month: Kindness & Health

For the first half of this month we will be celebrating Valentines Day, and focusing on kindness. With the cold and flu season in full swing, we also will be exploring the theme of health and wellness. This theme will include prevention tips to keep us healthy, a new dentist station in our centers area, and an esthetic's center as well. We had two hair mannequins donated to us, so the kids will have fun experimenting with that. Stay posted to our website so you are able to see what kind of trouble we are getting up to in Pre-K! :)

Below is a schedule for the Pre-k Show and Share. Please send only one item to school with your child on their sharing day. Thank you!

Valentines Day
Children love to celebrate Valentines Day, and handing out special cards has become a tradition. In class, we will be making Valentines Day bags, where the Pre-Ks will be able to store any cards the may receive. If you would like to send Valentines Day cards to school with your child I ask that you send one for each student, rather than specific children. If you are not planning to send any, that is completely fine. I also ask that you do not address them to anyone specific, as this allows the children to independently disperse them into the bags. You are welcome to sign your childs name however, so they know who the card is from! Thank you for your cooperation! Below is a break down of our class numbers & genders:

Januarys Artists of The Week

Family Day
When: March 2nd, 2012 @ 1:15-2:15 p.m. Where: Glencairn Bolodrome (1620 9th Ave E) Last month our Family Day was a great success. The kids really enjoyed the library! If you are interested in attending a similar story at the Sandra Schmirler, the library holds a drop in session every Friday at 10:30. Our next Family Day will be on March 2nd, as February is such a short month. I look forward to spending the afternoon bowling with those of you who are able to attend!
