Remove all decking, stringers and earns Cut off piles Install 11' wide plain concrete train lane in cente of boa dwal Outside gain lane install concrete grade beams over existing piles with new wood stringers and decking. Fill between grade beams with pervious stone to support heavy vehicle loads on wood.

Remove all decking, stringers and beams Cut off piles wide stamped concrete train lane in Install center of boardwalk. Outside train lane install concrete grade beams over existing piles with new wood stringers and decking. Fill between grade beams with pervious stone to support heavy vehicle loads on wood.
Advantages
Least up front cost and life cycle cost. Higher wear on deck and structure is from train load. Concrete pavement much better suited to this type wear. Provide for heavy vehicles including fire trucks and parades for full Iength and width of the boardwa lk.
Disadvantages:
Aesthetic look of concrete vs. wood Will require retaining wall along west side of boardwalk in some areas.
