North Division Street to Inlet:


Replace all decking Repair concrete as needed Replace ramp at South First to meet ADA North Div s on Street to 4th Street Remove wood deck, stringers and beams. Construct new wood deck over 4x8 stringers on concrete grade beams placed over existing piles and fill between gr ade beams with pervious stone to support heavy vehicle oads on wood. Concrete train lane would be repaired as needed under both options.

Outside train lane install concrete grade beams over existing piles with new wood stringers and decking. Fill between grade beams with pervious stone to support heavy vehicle loads on wood.

Least up front cost and life cycle cost. Higher wear on deck and structure is from train load. Concrete pavement much better suited to this type wear. Provide for heavy vehicles including fire trucks and parades for full Iength and width of the boardwa lk.

Aesthetic look of concrete vs. wood Will require retaining wall along west side of boardwalk in some areas.
