Great pace to the opening frame as both
teams, right in the thick of the playoff hunt, are
playing with a playoff-like intensity. The Jets
get on the board first as captain Andrew Ladd
pounces on a big Ryan Miller rebound for his
21st of the season.

Second period BREAKDOWN

The Jets defensive effort is superb for most
of the period as they kill off two penalties by
blocking shots and getting sticks in the way of
passes. But with just 35 seconds left, Sabres
rookie Corey Tropp jams in his second of the
season (both against the Jets) to tie the game.
