China Moisture To Soon Spread North

Spring rains have started across China, mainly along the Yangtze River Basin. A few disturbances in this seasonal river of water have all ready pushed northward into the southern winter wheat belt. Mainly, dry weather will be seen there for another week, until a timely, warmer and more significant rain event heads north next week.

Chinas Henan province grows 8% of its corn, 7% of its soybeans, 20% of its winter wheat, 4% of its rapeseed, and 3% of its rice. Spring moisture is readying to return to the region with the near-term outlook having a large storm system arriving late next week.

Wet weather will continue to spread across China over the next several weeks. The greatest accumulations will be in the Yangtze River Basin, but rains will also surge northward, into western and central areas late next week.
