Dimdim Web conferencing software, which competes with services like WebEx and GoToMeeting,
provides almost all the important features you need for conducting a conference over the Web.
DimDim enables web meetings where users can chat, share audio, video, run presentations, take

2. Linux Mint 5 Elyssa Released
Linux Mint 5 code named Elyssa was released. It is a fork of the famous Linux Distribution "ubuntu".
It concentrates on polishes user interface and unrestricted multimedia experience. It can play all the
multimedia files outofthebox without any package updation. It simply keeps the ubuntu repositories
for the updates.

3. Open source project management app hits 500K downloads
"OpenProj" is an Open Source Project Management Software. It is a highly competitive alternate to
the costly MS Project. OpenProj can import MS Project files happily. Most Organizations are now
slowly moving to OpenProj for their Project Management needs.

4. openSUSE 11.0 is released
The most expected Linux Distro openSUSE is reached its version 11.0. After merged with Novell,
openSUSE continues its growth with a lot of contributors.
ELCOT of Tamilnadu Government has recently installed openSUSE 10.0 for over 25,000 computers
and shipped to all the government offices in the TamilNadu.

7. IBM may open source DB2
IBM is positive about the possibility of bringing out its DB2 databasemanagement software under an
opensource license.
While the computing giant has no immediate plans to opensource DB2, market conditions may make
it unavoidable, according to Chris Livesey, IBM's UK director of information management software.
