Veteran actor Balakrishnas recently commenced flick, being directed by paruchuri murali and produced by m.l. kumar chowdary under the banner of Sree keerthi combines, is tentatively titled mahadeva naidu. according to latest reports, the makers are now considering adhinayakudu as its title. notably, adhinayakudu was the title considered for chiranjeevis 150th movie before he plunged into politics, but the film was shelved as chiru became too busy with politics. lakshmi rai is the lead heroine while Jayasudha and nadiya are playing important roles.

Venkatesh-trisha starrer Ganga - The Bodyguard, remake of malayalam super hit Bodyguard, is presently progressing at aluminium Factory at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The unit is canning some action scenes on Venkatesh and other fighters under the supervision of ram-lakshman. as per reports, the film has completed the 70% of its shooting. The makers are planning to complete the film in three months and bring it to theatres in December. Ganga - The Bodyguard is directed by Gopichand malineni and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh productions. Thaman is composing the music.

dookudu To Be remade By saLman khan?
mahesh Babus big budget movie, Dookudu is expected to grace the screens on august 31. it is now heard that the director Srinu Vaitla recently narrated the story of Dookudu to Bollywood superstar Salman khan, who was impressed with the storyline and its narration, and instantly gave his green signal to the project without a second thought. as per mumbai sources, the Dookudu remake will begin in october. notably, Salman khan is very close to Srinu Vaitla, whose ready was recently remade in Hindi with Salman khan in the lead. Salman khans latest hit movies (barring Dabangg) where all remakes of South indian movies. The most notable hit remake was wanted (mahesh Babus pokiri) directed by prabhudeva. His upcoming movie Bodyguard is also a remake of the malayalam movie of the same name which was also made into tamil as kavalan with Vijay is the lead. the lovely Samantha whose Dookudu is up for release soon, captured the audiences hearts with ye maaya chesave. the actress is doing well in tamil industry too and reportedly she is now to play the female lead in Gautham menons next tamil movie which has Jiiva as the hero. this movie is touted to be a thriller which will be produced by rS infotainment and will have music by the oscar winning ar rahman. if all goes as per plan we will be seeing this fresh pair on screen by Summer 2012!

while working on intellectual property for the world of gaming, rana Daggubati became curious about intellectual property for movies and before he knew it, he was part and parcel of the film industry. not surprising, given the fact that every one he has known all his life is from the world of cinema: grandfather D. rama naidu, uncle Venkatesh and even his mother! padma iyer of Galatta cinema chats up with this young turk about cinema, movies and films... your launch in cinema was an unconventional one. i mean leader is not a typical launch vehicle. How would you react to that? i think leader was the perfect launch for me. i could not have asked for anything better. i have always wanted to something out-of-the-box, something unconventional. and for me, leader had all those qualities. i am happy that the movie was well-received. Several people from the industry congratulated me for choosing something so refreshing, bold and different.

Climbing the ladder of suCCess

How did your debut in Bollywood happen? well, rohan Sippy saw the promos of leader and he called me for Dumm maro Dumm. Since the movie was another issue-based subject, i agreed to do it. i feel that the cinematic medium is not just for entertainment; it is also a powerful tool to educate and create awareness. my movies should provide that extra something to the audience. and about my chances in telugu: no, the Hindi movie has not changed anything. anyway, i am not on a signing spree. For me, to have a bound script is very important before i accept any film. and getting a bound script in South cinema is not that easy. Since i come from a corporate background and have also spent time in the production side, i like the planned approach in movie making. For me, it is a pre-condition to sign a film. is it really different working in Southern films and Hindi films?

popular telugu actor prabhas cousin Siddharth rajkumar is debuting as hero with keratam. The movie also marks the debut of its director Gautham patnaik and heroine rakul preet Singh and aisvarya. The tagline of this movie is The way of youth. The target audience for the movie most certainly seem to be the youth. The movie will depict the aspirations, frustrations, adolescence, dynamism, confusions faced by a student. The producer SV Babu says, it is the remake of the hit kannada movie Josh but the script has been change to suit every audiences sensibilities. This film will discuss the present burning issue in youth. The movie will be a really inspiring to watch.. it is also notable that keratam is releasing as yuvan in tamil and malayalam.

as an actor, i have done one film here and one film there. The one big difference is that the team in Hindi cinema is much younger. The assistant directors become friends. The production schedules are shorter even though the scale of production is bigger. and i want to bring that to cinema here. also, the style of storytelling is different. lets talk about your family. How has it been growing in an household where everyone is in cinema and everyone is famous? Growing up in my household was like going to film school. i was aware of several technical sides of cinema by the time i was a teenager. and after having been brought up in such an environment, not to use the medium more effectively is not something i would be happy doing. i may fail in my efforts, but even if i do, i want to learn from my failures. not learning from my failures is the scary part! Since we are talking about success and failure... what do you think about the numbers game, competition, and most of all, image? cinema is a creative business. For me, competition is irrelevant. Every one has their pluses and minuses. For me, this platform of cinema is more important. and without my family, i dont have this platform. The pressure for me is not to fail because everyone in my family has achieved success in whatever they did in cinema. in that sense, Hindi is safe as there are no expectations. and when it comes to being image-oriented, i clearly and honestly believe that an image is what it is perceived as. The audience wants something different. and they are ready to accept something new. They appreciate a good movie and never forgive a bad one, however big or small it is. karthi took tamil cinema by storm with paruthiveeran. and his every subsequent release has been a box office hit. like brother Suriya, karthi too has managed to capture the telugu audiences thanks to the success of the dubbed versions of paiyaa, aayirathil oruvan and naan mahaan alla. So what does karthi have to say about his brother Suriya, his his dad, his relationship with them and his career plans. tell us about your relationship with Suriya.. k: what can i say? we have always been close, but we were never the chatting type of siblings. we did our own thing. But after his marriage to Jyotika, we talk more often, thanks to Jyotika. and i love spending time with Diya and Dev. any movies of your Dad and your brother that youd want to do? k: i never thought about that. But i definitely admire them as actors and i have learnt a lot from them, especially from Suriya: his dedication and commitment to work. i mean, for a few minutes scene in Vaaranam aayiram, he went through so much of physical hard work. Gc: last words on todays cinema. k: if the audience likes it, great. Suriya never chose a bad script. His films may or may not have succeeded, but he succeeded as an actor. So i want to choose films that i like, scripts that i like. it is also important to present the film for what it is. tell the audience what they will see. if it is a commercial film, announce it as such; do not pretend to be something you are not. This is something i follow in my work as well as in my life.

There was news that kajal aggarwal would be sharing screen space with him for the third time with the S.S. rajamouli movie, but the director has denied the news saying that the heroine is yet to be finalised. and on the other hand anushka who was to act with prabhas in rebel, is now no longer part of the movie.The prabhasanushka combination was eagerly awaited after their amazing chemistry in the hit Billa. But now according to reports, tamannaah is likely to replace anushka in this film. if this happens, this will be her first film with prabhas.

She started her career with tamil cinema, followed by telugu and kannada movies. But it is her recent stint in malayalam that has made her the star she is today. and after a long break in telugu, lakshmi rai returns with mahadeva naidu opposite Balakrishna. a casual chat with the actress. How do you manage to maintain that aura of confidence all the time? (laughs) that iS a compliment. i think its a combination of wisdom in how i can take care of my mind and body; and the confidence i feel in my work. people have sat up and taken notice. now i can look forward to those great scripts, those super roles. it shows on me, doesnt it? and whats next in your kitty? life is great. Between photoshoots and movie shoots, i barely have time to breathe! there are quite a few projects in the offing, but id rather speak of them a little later - it wouldnt be ethical to blab all until the producers give the ok, would it? meanwhile, i work out madly, keep myself fit, ensure that as an actress, i am always well turned-out and chic (its so important for actresses to present a perfect picture and not be shoddy outside... and dont let anyone tell you differently!), i give interviews, i travel on outdoor shoots... i am on the move all the time! and isnt tHat wonderful! So you are satisfied? Uh-huh! Happy doesnt mean laid-back. i will always work toward that perfect script, that big film! i too have aspirations of working with the biggest and best directors, actors and co-stars. But step by step; i need to make that mark on every rung i climb up. i am getting there... marriage on the cards? true love? romancing mr. right? all in good time. yes, i want to fall in love, a forever-kind of love. yes, i want to meet my perfect mr. right, but only when i am ready to make that commitment. yes, i want to get married and have a family and all that, but there is a time and place for everything. now is my time to work, enjoy my work, aspire for the skies and love life. She is different from the shy, gangly newcomer of years ago. Her confidence wears on her well and her determination shines through. wishing her all the best for all her future movies.
