Exciting changes to the Partner & International Associate Tour
The Partner & International Tour will now visit and witness a historic one off event a spectacular Parade & Muster at Windsor on Saturday 19th May, to celebrate The Queens Diamond Jubilee. Nearly 2,500 troops from the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force will parade through Windsor Castle and town before The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. After, the group will have time to take in the sights of Windsor & Eton. Please note: lunch is included.

Olympics 2012 access & parking update


Transport for London has released the latest area plans for access and parking during the Olympics for the following areas: Camden, Earls Court, Eton Dorney, Glasgow, Greenwich, Hackney, Lee Valley, Lewisham, Lords Cricket Ground, Merton, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Wandsworth and Wembley. Home Office Project Nimrodget involved


SOCA has been tasked by the Home Office as part of the governments organised crime strategy to produce an assessment on the extent of corruption by organised criminals in the public and private sectors. The project ultimately seeks to provide a comprehensive overview

on the threat and impact of corruption on the UK.


As this assessment will pull together responses from across public and private sector, all responses will be sanitised and strategically assessed to highlight only broad themes in the final report. SOCA is asking BAR Members for their thoughts, questions or feedback and to contribute to this assessment. For full details, please click here

BS 8564 the Overseas Moving Standard


QSS will be giving a presentation on this new standard at the New Met Area Meeting next Tuesday, 13th March. Making the most of your BAR Membership: viewing and downloading documents
The BAR Members Area (MyBAR) contains a whole host of relevant and updated industry information completely free of charge. Many web pages in MyBAR include Scribd, a web based document-sharing facility. Scribd allows various documents of various formats to be embedded into a web page. You can download via Scribd if you are a registered user (or sign up via your facebook account). Alternatively, click on the widget that displays a downward arrow icon, to download or save. These widgets are found on the right hand side of MyBAR web pages.

The CMG golf tournament is back!


The 2012 CMG Golf Day, sponsored by Basil Fry, will be held at St Pierre Golf Course, Chepstow, on Tuesday 2nd October 2012. There will be an exciting new format this year as commercial moving industry partners will be invited to promote their services to the industry. There will also be an after dinner speaker, John Stiles, a comedian who has a wide range of topics and brother to Nobby Stiles, the famous England World Cup winner from the 1960s.
