The Garden Room Rental Guidelines

The Garden Room at The Kaiser Roof Gardens is one of Oaklands most versatile event spaces, offering breathtaking views of Lake Merritt and our beautiful Gardens. This unique event space, can be rented a la carte, or with our full service meeting and event production services. RENTAL FEES: Weekday: $265.00 per hour with an (4) hour minimum Weekends: $250.00 per hour with an (10) hour minimum Kaiser Center Tenants receive at 20% discount on venue rental fees Non Profit Corporations receive a 10% discount on all venue rental fees *Cost are based on an event with 1-100 people, additional staffing may be required for larger events. POST EVENT JANITORIAL FEE: $140.00 (Subject to change on a per event basis) OVERTIME CHARGES: $265.00 per hour for the Garden (not including staff overtime) GARDEN ROOM EVENT HOURS: Events may be held between the hours of 8am-2am BUY-OUTS: Catering: Non optional (Please see our preferred vendor list) Bar: Non optional Rental Equipment: Non optional Sound: Non optional Lighting: Non optional HOLD DEPOSIT: $1,000.00 is required to officially hold your date and is due with your returned signed contract. This deposit is non-refundable if your event is canceled. STAFFING COST: Pricing is per hour with 4 hour minimums Event Manager: $35.00 Security*: $35.00
*One security per 100 guests for evening, non-wedding events where alcohol is served

Janitorial: $35.00 Building Engineers: $100-$250.00 per hour for specialty services PARKING: Weekday parking is $21.00 per car. On weekends parking is managed on a per event/per case basis. BAR SERVICE: Full beverage service is available for your event. Please consult with one of our event planners for specifics.

MUSIC CURFEW: Music must end at 11:30pm Friday and Saturday, and 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday.
