The best thing in a movie is a good line said immediately before death. Here is a brief sample of those lines in reverse order.

10. Jack Daw son


Leonardo di Caprio, Titanic (1997) The Line: Never let go When the ship sinks Rose DeWitt Bukate climbs on a door which could only support one person and jack remains in the cold freezing water, He promises her that shell survive and shell live as long as she can and shell die as an old lady, after that he surrenders to death.

9. William Wa llace
Mel Gibson, Braveheart (1995 The Line: Freeeedom!!! William Wallaces father, brother and wife had been killed by the English. he became involved in Scottish revolt against the king Edward I of England. After a few military success he is betrayed by the English and taken to London and he is condemned of high treason. as He is being tortured by public execution the magistrate offers him a quick death in pity.

8. Thelma and Louise


Thelma and Louise (1991) The Lines: Thelma: Go! Louise: You sure? Thelma: Yeah yeah. Two friends Thelma and Louise went out for a weekend which turned out to be a nightmare as a man tried to rape one girl and the other shot him. They ran from police and are led by a compassionate detective Hal Slocumb (Harvey Keitel) and then they are cornered near a cliff.

7.Hans Gruber

Alan Rickman, Die Hard (1988) The Line: What was it you said to me before? Yippie-ki-yay, motherfucker! McClane , a new York cop, has been caught up in an extra ordinary robbery. He lived through everything that the criminal mastermind and his gang had planned for him. When he faced Gruber and a henchman he had just two bullets left in his gun.

6. Roy Batty
Rutger Hauer, Blade Runner (1982) The Line: Ive seen things you people wouldnt believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain Time to die. Batty is a leader of a group of replicants who excited illegally on earth. Rick Deckard is an ex-police officer who had once specialized in retiring replicants is forced to find and kill them. He dispatched three of them and then confronts Batty. Batty saves Deckards life and just after that his pre-programmed 4 years life is over.

5. Colonel Kurtz
Marlon Brando, Apocalypse Now (1979) The Line: The horror the horror This movie is based on Joseph Conrads novella, Heart of Darkness. Colonel Walter E Kurtz is a member of US army special force in Vietnam; he goes insane and is commanding a native army in the Cambodian jungle. A very experienced captain is sent to find Kurtz and terminate him. After a hazardous journey Willard finds Kurtz and attacks him and Kurtz says these words just before dying.

4. Rabbi
John Cleese, Life of Brian (1979)

The Line: STOP IT STOP IT! Now look! No one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle, understand? Even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say Jehovah. A man is being stoned to death because he is condemned of blasphemy and Brian Cohen and his mother are going to attend it. In order to explain himself he uses the divine word again, and people start throwing stones at him. The rabbi tries to restore order and he himself is set upon by the crowd.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi
Sir Alec Guinness, Star Wars [IV: A New Hope] (1977) The Line: You cant win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. In order to rescue a beautiful princess and battle an evil warlord Luke Skywalker and obi-wan joins forces. It later turns out that the princess is his long-lost sister and the warlord turns out to be his long-lost father.

2. HAL 9000
Douglas Rain, 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) The Lines: Im afraid. Im afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. Im afraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the HAL plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January, 1992. A secret spaceship which is bound on a secret mission to Jupiter is being controlled by HAL which is the controlling brain of that spaceship. There is some problem in his programming due to which he becomes unstable and kills four people of the

crew. David bowman, the remaining person of the crew disconnects HALs circuitry.

1. Charles Foster Kane


Orson Welles, Citizen Kane (1941) The Line: Rosebud This is the first line of the movie and after that the movie moves in two directions. One shows Kanes life and the other shows the reporter who is trying to find out meaning of this mysterious statement.

Michael Corleone
Al Pacino, the Godfather: Part II (1974) The Line: I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart! It is not a dying line but a heartbreaking moment which decides the characters fate.
