MDU, Rohtak and HCL Infosystems for a period of three years from the date of completion of the project (for providing internet, telephony, and Wi-Fi facilities in all the Depts./offices of new Campus) . After completion of the project of Ist phase the HCL is charging Rs.9 Lakh annually for Facility Management for 2400 internet points. The Facility Management & Hardware warranty period of the Ist phase is going to be exhausted on 31.03.2012 for which AMC of Hardware of Ist phase and FM for Ist & IInd phase is required to be got done for further one year. The IIIrd phase recently completed on 31.12.2011 which will be applicable upto 30.12.2014.

Now, the HCL has submitted their proposal for AMC of servers and network peripherals installed. The estimate cost of AMC of Ist phase is calculated Rs.20,51,970/- 13% value of Hardware cost i.e. Rs.1,57,84,386/-. Facility

Management charges Rs.4,50,000/- has also been raised for IInd phase and Rs.9 lakh will be for Ist phase. It is pertinent to mention here that the HCL has also mentioned their terms & conditions for AMC which are as follows:1. 2. 3. 4. Service tax @ 10.3 % will be applicable extra. Virus related problem not covered in AMC. Payment to be made 100% in advance after agreement. Physical breakage/burnt due to abnormal voltage/Natural calamity will not be covered under scope of AMC. 5. Contract period should be at least for one year.

In view of the above, the case may be submitted to the Vice-Chancellor for kind consideration and approval whether we may enter in agreement with HCL for another one year for AMC of Hardware and Facility
