Compensation Structure
With every Service Package available, the Funeral/Cemetery operation is
responsible for all advertising, printing, postal and all related marketing expenses.
The Counselor is the Broker of Record, and therefore receives a fee for services
rendered directly from the insurance carrier. The counselor is not compensated
for mileage, auto expenses, nor for ordinary employee expenses including hourly
wages, health insurance, SSI, TDI, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, nor
Pension Purchase/Retirement Plans.

Level One – Premium Program

Full Comprehensive Marketing

• After Care – Family Service follow-up
• Quarterly Group Presentations
• Newspaper Insert and Advertisement Management
• Relationship Marketing/Cross Selling
• Call-In/Walk-In Management

Level Two – Standard Program

Limited Comprehensive Marketing


Program Includes:

1. Direct Mail Campaign by location


2. Quarterly Group Presentations
3. Signer Program

1. The signer program counselor will sign all preneed


contracts, then will proportionately divides commissions
with the firm, at a previously agreed upon rate. Agency
formation and licensure for contract service is provided.

2. The Standard Program does NOT include: Newspaper


Insert and Advertisement Management, Relationship
Marketing/Cross Selling, Call-In/Walk-In Management
nor After Care – Family Service follow-up

3. The firm will manage Call-In/Walk-In business and the


counselor will manage the funding.

Level Three – Entry Program

Limited Basic Marketing Program


Includes:

1. Signer program only


This program is tailored to those firms that wish to maintain an enhanced level of control over
their pre-need program. All Pre-Need Representatives are funeral home employees and the
funeral home is fully responsible for their compensation and benefits package. Through this
program, we customarily offer the following:

• Complete guidance and assistance with developing a comprehensive program goals and
needs analysis, including program sales, marketing, training and lead recommendations
• Consultative support with recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring and appropriate
licensing
• Pre-need sales training available for all sales staff
• Marketing and advertising consultations, services, designs, and implementation including
direct mail services (Available at cost to funeral home)
• Pre-need orientation for funeral home staff
• Quarterly, semi-annual and annual detailed funeral home sales reports
• The signer program counselor will sign all preneed contracts, then will proportionately
divides commissions with the firm, at a previously agreed upon rate. Agency formation
and licensure for contract service is provided.
• The basic program allows the opportunity for us to work together and introduce many
new and exciting programs. Most importantly it allows the firm to capture an income
stream of non-funeral revenue in order to offset future programs intended to grow preneed
backlog and assure substantial share in future markets.
