MICHELLE VAN BOVEN

WHO IS SHE? Michelle van Boven is born at 14 may 1992 in the small village Poortugaal- Holland. At a young age, she started drawing, dreaming, garderning and she got lots of questions. That questions were answered when she went to the Graphic School(Grafisch Lyceum) and followed the education Spatial Design&Presentation. She discovered that her dreams about urban spaces can be reality to doing it by herself. That is also the reason that she get in intership by Observatorium. In these period, with great experiences, she learnt how to perception the world in a different way. ESTUAIRE NANTES. When the intership was over, Observatorium asked Michelle to do her graduation project in Nantes. Together they found a good project: making an information centre about Page Sauvage next to the building place. With her vision and enthousiasm, and the help from Observatorium, there will be in the period March till May an little urban space, were whole Nantes can celebrate how lovely there place is, how fun it is to build, to relaxing, talking, making art and having fun!

CONCEPT
The observation of spaces, people, light and sound, which I always like to have done and what I still enjoy doing it, has a big influence on my work. I find it interesting to see how people react when entering a new space, because the environment where your standing does a lot with your feelings. My vision is to change the feeling of a man into something tangible: a piece of art that reinforced your feelings With my vision I came to a motto that I am going to use as the basis for this project: Become stronger and making visible the relationship between senses and mind

A building place is a place where you usually feel hectic, hear noise and sees chaos. These forms, which are interpreted as negative, I want to convert it into a positive experience. The place in question were going to feel hectic as a pleasant sensation, noise is music, and mess is art. For these different view Ill make a place where you can find yourself, with a look to the building place, a place where you can take the time to observe the sensation.
I measure this goal to adapt the transformation to the needs of the visitor.

POINT DINFORMATION PAGE SAUVAGE

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO AT POINT DINFORMATION? Instead of a product I offer an experience. Everyone is experienced in a different way, one person got a positive experience and comes back, another got no good experience and does not come quickly. I want only positive experiences with my visitors. By communicating with each other Ill find out what they want to change to get a good feeling. And immedialety I will change it, together with the visitor. The entire period, the information pavilion adapted to the needs of visitors. For example: some visitors says that the seats doesnt sit well and standing in the wrong place, I invite the visitors to change the chairs and give it another place. With these activities, visitors will not only get a better experience, I even create interaction between and with my visitors. The different activities that I undertake will consist: building, tinkering, gardening, cooking, communicate and perhaps giving small partys. Ofcourse is Point dinformation a place were you can find information about Page Sauvage and Petit Amazonie. There will be a place at Point dinformation were you can find the information, I will get that information from the magazine PS.

INSPIRATION
THE SOURCES OF INSPIRATION THAT HAUNT ME IN DIFFERENT PROJECTS ARE EXHIBITIONS OF PIPILOTTI RIST, AN EXHIBITION OF BUREAU DETOURS, MY EXPERIENCES AT FESTIVALS, MY BACKPACKTRIP AND PARTYS.

Pipilotti Rist makes the audience part of the installation. In her work she has internal images such dreams and emotions, where everyone sees recognition. I find remarkable and intense how she create interaction with her art and visiters. That interaction is a very important part in Point dinformation.

Detours Exhibition Copenhagen: Dennis Design Center During the exhibition Detours making tangible solutions for the public space, they doing workshops and listen to the residents about the discussed development of the region and history. The neighborhood children took great delight in this creative weeks.

A place where you can get yourself up in the bustle of a building place.. Where do you come more in serenty than in nature? The smell of plants and soil, the warmth of a greenhouse, the peace and tranquility. Taste, smell, feel and hear what nature has to offer, and take full advantage...

WITH MY ENTHUSIASM, INSPIRATION, OPTIMISM, A LOT OF IDEAS I AM GOING TO MAKE A MEETINGPOINT, AN ATELIER, A PLACE WERE YOU CAN GET A MOMENT OF PEACE, A SMALL URBAN SPACE, ON A PLACE WERE YOU NOT EXPECTED.
