FEMALE FOETICIDE the devil within us Absurd reason of gender!

! Yet another life was put to death even before it could open her buds and blossom into a flower. When a reason was sought for this act of cruelty, society simply replied: the tender-unborn thing was a girl. How easy it is for them to kill a life based on an absurd reason of gender? We all are the citizens of India, whose past and culture is extremely appreciable and admirable; where Devi is the ultimate paradox and unmarried girls are worshipped as Kanjaks. No ceremony is completed in the absence of the women. Our epics like Mahabharta & Ramayana are examples of it. Still in the 21stcentury, women are doing their chores and undertaking their responsibilities with true honesty and sincerity. But, the big matter is concerning with girls, is that, they are not being accepted by the people whole-heartedly nowadays. Society treats females as! Female foeticide is a widely discussed and the most unethical crime of all the times. Taking away a life for such a strange reason simply shows the low standards of human thinking. Girls are taken as a kind of slur in their families or societies. They are also looked upon as an object of lust. The respect for the women that used to be shown by the people has faded now. In our country, this act is rising rapidly; to consider that the menace is concentrated only in the rural areas of our country would be a mistake. People have to realise the fact that God has created everything with a purpose and we have to maintain the balance of nature. Both the genders are equally important to the preserve the natural balance. Technology adds fuel to fire! The advancement of the technology has definitely added fuel the fire. It is such a shameful thing that instead of using the technology in a positive manner, doctors for just a handfull of money are misusing it. Doctors should live upto the expectations of the people by making the right use of the technology. Answer these questions! Why cant we welcome a girl whole-heartedly with arms open wide? Why does it hurt so much when the parents get to know the soon they will be blessed with a girl? Is it because they are scared that if they have a girl in house then, who will handle the family business or because the parents will have to nourish and bring up a life that will eventually leave them after marriage? If these are justifications then, I feel that the society is ready for doom. Such thoughts reflect an unhealthy and infected society. But, to bring about a change in the health of society, one has to step forward and take up the initiative. The need of hour is to create awareness through mass education and various programmes.

Listen the cries of females! Female foeticide means loss of a mothers, sisters, daughters and wifes love forever. If such a situation continues, the time is not far when there will be no female to marry with and men will find a hard nut to crack to marry. Who does not know prominent figures such as Indira

A woman may not be as strong as a man, but, she is strong enough to bear human being in her womb for nine months; she commands and desires respect. After all, it is a women whose diverse roles of mother, sister, daughter & wife that completes a mans life. A SON IS A SON TILL HE GETS HIS WIFE, A DAUGHTER IS A DAUGHTER TILL THE END OF LIFE.
