LOGLINE & PREMISE

LOGLINE: The pillar-box waits for letters. After several false hopes he finally gets one. He is jubilant.

PREMISE: The Pillar-Box waits in anticipation he is hungry for letters. After several false hopes he is despondent will it happen at all?

3 ACT STORY STRUCTURE

Act 1: The PILLAR BOX waits hopefully on the street corner. Approaching footsteps lead him to anticipate a letter. As the footsteps pass he sags dejectedly. The pillar-box pulls himself up as he hears more footsteps approaching. As the footsteps pass he becomes dejected again. Act 2: The pillar-box straightens up and waits alertly as he hears pattering footsteps approach. He looks expectant. A dog barks, and the pillar-box looks down to see a puddle spreading.

Act 3: The pillar-box is slumped dejectedly. He lifts his slot hopefully a little when he hears footsteps approach. A hand appears with a letter in it, the pillar-box straightens up. The hand posts the letter. The pillar-box gasps, stretches up, and pogos/cartwheels jubilantly.

STEP OUTLINE
