Objective: To Isolate Condensate Extraction Pump & Ensure PTW can be issued to designated maintenance Personnel to carry out the respective job on the equipment safely & ensure safety of the plant.

3.0 Procedure: Field Charge Engineer responsibility

Equipment Clearance:

Check CEP is in Stopped condition. check CEP Discharge & bypass MO valve is closed Check Push button in pressed condition Selector Switch in off position Check electrical supply of CEP motor has been isolated Check electrical supply of CEP discharge & bypass MOV is isolated LOTO & Danger tags placed Check breaker earth switch is in ON position Check CEP motor cooling water is isolated Check that CEP suction valve is closed Check Both canister vent line from CEP to condenser are closed Check mechanical sealing from CEP discharge is isolated

Safety Clearance:

Ensure all foreign material have been removed from site Ensure all required scaffold, work platforms, ladder, roof platforms, safety native for fragile roof sitting around the equipment are in place safely. Check the area around the equipment to be effected has been cordoned off Check Safety PPE's with the personnel performing the job
