Installing Red hat enterprise virtual Manager- Install windows 2006 R2 64 bit in any machine. Set the initial things i.e hostname , ip address , firewall off , antivirus disable , windows update and add it to domain. Installation of Rhevmanager
Run the setup of RHEMM_52920 (Rhevmanager) All is default except 1) RHEVM Database (Install a SQL Server 2005 Express locally) 2) SQL Express password 3) Default Web Site 4) Select RHEV Manager domain and User Domain detail Select Local or Domain Domain Domain Name macmill.com RHEV Manager administration task Username rhevmgrdel Password p@ssw0rd 5) Certification details Organization Name MPS Limited Fully qualified computer name rhevmgr.macmill.com 6) Net console Port (Default 25825) -> Finish 7) Start-> Redhat->RhevManager Configuration Tool ISO Uploader Log Collector RHEVManager SSL Rhevmanager

Rhevmanager Console:-

Copy ca.csr from Rhevmgr server from location c:\Users\rhevmgrdel\Downloads\ca.csr to your laptop.

Laptop:- start->run->mmc->File->Add/remove snap in->certificates->Add->computer account->local account->Finish Console Root->Trusted Root Certificates->Certificates (R.c)->All tasks->Import>location of certificate->Finish

Configuring IE security settings to work perfectly

1) Server Manager -> Configure IE ESC (In security information section)-> Select off for both administrator and users. 2) Open IE -> Security->Trusted sites -> add the website

Now from putty Login to each hyperv servers (5.6) and do these settings one by one. # setup Hypervisor Configuration Menu 1) Configure Authentication 2) Set the Hostname 3) Networking Setup 4) Register Host to RHN 5) Configure the host for RHEV 6) View Logs 7) Exit hypervisor Configuration Menu Choose an option to configure : 5 (Give the IP of RHRVManager 192.168.80.7) # /etc/init.d/vdsm-reg frestart By this the hyperv will be connect to the revmanager Hosts tab. Check by open Rhevmanager Host tab. If not then open host tab -> new host (name=rhevdelsrv1, Address 192.168.80.42, port=54321, host cluster Default, password ********->OK
