Business Policy & Strategic Management is a capstone course that integrates the learning in the different functional areas of business. Business Policy looks at the role and responsibilities of senior management, the critical problems that impact success in the total enterprise, and the decisions that determine the future direction of the organization. The problems of Policy & Strategy in business have to do with choosing purposes, molding organizational identity and character, defining what needs to be done, and mobilizing and deploying resources in the face of competition. In the context of todays complex business environment, business strategy needs to be flexible, innovative, risk-taking, and with a democratic, ethical view towards the stakeholders. This course offers an understanding of the strategic process, the important strategic models, growth strategies, and strategic implementation. The Learning in this course will be best achieved through case study and active participation in the class to explore the contours of Business Policy and Strategy.
Learning Objectives:

To familiarize the participants with the basic concepts of Business Policy & Strategy. To apply the Strategic Models in case analysis in order to understand Growth Strategies and Execution Strategy.
