NOTE ON WORKS

VISAKHAPATNAM DISTRICT
Government of India has sanctioned Rs. 571.93 lakhs for development of Visakhapatnam Beach Circuit under Central Finance Assistance. The components of the project are as follows: In Visakhapatnam District eight works are sanctioned and they are 1. Thatiguda water falls 3. Erramattidibbalu 5. Mangamarripeta 7. Bheemupatnam 2. Tribal Bazar, Araku 4. Rushikonda 6. Thotlakonda 8. Etikoppaka

i)

Balance works of Thatiguda water falls.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is taking up the development of water falls at Thatiguda near Ananthagiri. The VC&MD has accorded an administrative sanction for Rs.18.00 lakhs for balance works. I. Feature development: 1. Providing steps from Road to water falls. 2. Construction of Cafeteria.

Construction of Toilets.

Estimate cost: Rs.18.00 lakhs. Name of the contractor: Sri P L Ganapathi, VSP
Status: The Contractor not started the work. A letter issued to the contractor to start the work immediately. The contractor has says that the agreement period is lapsed 3 months (for 6 months), the work will be started with in three days if you are agreed EOAT has to be sanctioned months with out any finality. for another 3

ii)Development of water body and Tribal Bazaar at ARAKU :

Estimate cost: Rs.176.00 lakhs. Name of the contractor: Sri Bonmali Rout
1. 2. 3. 4. Bazaar water Body Am phi Theatre Pathways and Landscaping Status: The work speed up the contractor, brick work in bazaar blocks 123 nearing completion. 4&5 are in progress.

iii)

Development of Tourist Centre at Erramatti Dibbalu: with an amount of Rs 79.00 lakhs out pf which Rs 60.00 lakhs of CFA grant, Rs 19.00 lakhs APTDC funds.

The following components will be developed at Erramatii Dibbalu. Tourist Information Center Parking area Restaurant Public amenitie

Estimate cost: Rs.79.00 lakhs. Name of the contractor: Sri Bonmali Rout
Restaurant blocks column footings casted. The work stopped Due to objection raised by the INS Kalinga.

iv)

Development of Tourist Amenities at Rishikonda Beach:

Estimate cost: Rs.107.00 lakhs. Name of the contractor: Sri Bonmali Rout
Shower Cubicles View Towers cum Light House and Shacks Parking Area Path ways, Sitting Benches and Sunbath decks Parking area work is in progress. As per the Instructions of VC& MD The work is stopped.

v)

Development of Tourism Amenities at Mangamari Peta Creek: With an amount of Rs.20.00 lakhs, the following components will be developed at Mangamaripeta.

Ticketing & Information Center Public Amenities Fencing

Status: Earth work is inprogress.

The work is stopped.

As per the Instructions of VC& MD

vi)

Development of Buddhist Site at Thotlakonda: with an amount of Rs.126.00 lakhs, the following components will be developed at Thotlakonda.

a) Security & Ticketing and Lounge cum Public Amenities b) Open Air Theater, Stupa Replica and Interpretation Center

 c) Development of roads. Tenders are invited for the work by the Head office.

Development of Dutch Village at Bheemili :

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is taking up the development of Bheemili Dutch Village, Visakapatnam District with the Central Financial Assistance of Rs.224.00 lakhs under Development of Visakapatnam Beach Circuit. And the proposed components to be developed are as below I. Feature development: 1. Village centre 2. Interpretation centre 3. Wind mills 4. Theme houses II. Site Development: 1. Fencing 2. Ticketing and Information centre An extent of 6.20 acres in Survey No.87 of kummaripalem is handed over to APTDC for the project. Administrative Sanction approved by the VC and MD and tenders called for. viii) Development of ETIKOPPAKA Crafts centre: The work was sanctioned by the Govt. of India for Rs. 45.95 lakhs.

Present status: A letter was addressed by the Executive director duly requesting for allotment of existing DRDA building.

VIZIANAGARAM DISTRICT
In Vizianagaram District Ten works are sanctioned and they are,
1. Development of Tourist amenities at Ramatheertham 2. Development of Tourist amenities at Thotapalli 3. Development of Tourist amenities at Thatipudi 4. Development of Vizianagaram Fort 5. Development of War memorial Bobbili 6. Development of Tourist amenities at Kumili 7. Development of Tourist amenities at Punyagiri 8. Development of Beach resort at Chintapalli 9. Development of Beach resort at Bhogapuram

Development of Tourist amenities at Ramatheertham

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : M/s Maruthi Engineering

In this work dormitories for ladies and gents separately and Keshakhanadana hall and other ancillary works like extension of steps at koneru and land scaping are taken up.

Stage of work: Work is nearing completion.

Development of Tourist amenities at Thotapalli

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : M/s Maruthi Engineering

In this work dormitories for ladies and gents separately and dress changed rooms and toilets at river ghat and other ancillary works and landscaping are taken up.

Stage of work: Dormitory building work is in finishing stage. Derss changing rooms and toilets plastering are progress.

Development of Tourist amenities at Thatipudi

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : M/s KCP Projects Ltd.

In this work one restaurant, pathways, landscaping, illumination of landscaped park and parking area are taken up.

Stage of work: Restaurant work is nearing completion and pathways work is in progress.

4.

Development of Vizianagaram Fort

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

ame of the contractor : Sri K. Balaji In this work one cafeteria and amphi theatre, land scaping, pathways, illumination of landscaped park and fort wall are taken up.

Stage of work: Columns raised upto slab and centering work is in progress. The work stopped due to objection raised by the chairman of manasa trust.

5.

Development of War memorial Bobbili

Estimate cost Name of the contractor : Rs. 41.50 lakhs. : M/s Lakshmi narasimha Enterprises.

In this work existing land scaped area is being extended, cafeteria and toilets and illumination are being taken up.

Stage of work: Basement work for cafeteria and toilets completed and park area basement work completed and MS grills are fixed.

6.

Development of Tourist amenities at Kumili

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

The District Collector has proposed for shifting this work to Ramatheertham and the same was accepted by the Vice Chairman and Managing Director. Concept drawings are accepted by the District Collector Vizianagaram and the consultant preparing the estimate.

Development of Tourist amenities at Punyagiri

Estimate cost Name of the contractor : Rs. 41.50 lakhs. : Sri P.L. Ganapathi

In this work dormitories for ladies and gents separately and dress changed rooms at water falls, keshakhanadana hall and toilets near temple are taken up.

Stage of work: Dormitory building slab work is completed and dress change rooms near waterfall footings work is in progress.

8.

Development of Beach resort at Chintapalli and Bhogapuram

Estimate cost : Rs. 93.00 lakhs.

The District Collector has addressed a letter to the Govt. duly proposing to take up both the works at Chintapalli at already allotted site. Concept drawings are accepted by the District Collector Vizianagaram and the consultant preparing the estimate.

SRIKAKULAM DISTRICT
In Srikakulam District Ten works are sanctioned and they are,
1. Development of Koneru (lake) complex at ARASAVALLI 2. Development of Tourist amenities at SRI KURMAM 3. Development of Tourist amenities at SRI MUKHALINGAM 4. Development of Tourist amenities centre at SALIHUNDAM 5. Development of Beach Resort at KALINGAPATNAM 6. Development of Tourist amenities centre at SRIKAKULAM 7. Development of Tourist amenities centre at DANTAPURAM 8. Development of Tourist amenities centre at BARUVA 9. Development of Beach destination at BARUVA 10. Budget Hotel at ARASAVALLI

1. Development of Koneru (lake) complex at ARASAVALLI

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : Sri K. Anantha rao.

In this work dormitories for ladies and gents separately along with toilets and two VIP rooms and landscaping are being taken up.

Stage of work: The above items are in one building and the same is nearing completion.

2. Development of Tourist Amenities at SRIKURMAM

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : Sri K. Anantha rao.

In this work two dormitories for ladies and gents separately and extension of steps at koneru and dress change rooms at koneru is taken up.

Stage of work: Dormitories building is in finishings stage, and dress change rooms and steps at koneru are to be started.

3. Development of Tourist Amenities at SRIMUKHALINGAM

Estimate cost : Rs. 41.50 lakhs.

Name of the contractor : Sri K. Anantha rao.

In this work two dormitories for ladies and gents separately and one Kesakhandana sala and Dining hall.

Stage of work: Ground and first floor slabs are casted and the contractor stop the work.

4. Development

of Tourist amenities centre at

SALIHUNDAM
Estimate cost Name of the contractor : Rs. 41.50 lakhs. : Sri Neha infrastructures.

In this work Restaurant, waiting lounge, Two VIP suits and toilets are proposed.

Stage of work: Plinth beam are casted, Ground floor columns are rised, And further work is in progress.

5.

Development of Beach Resort at KALINGAPATNAM

Estimate cost Name of the contractor : Rs. 51.50 lakhs. : Sri GRR constructions.

In this work Restaurant, Public toilets and six guest rooms.

Stage of work: Plinth beam work is completed and further work is in progress.
