Introducing!
We would like to introduce our newest staff member,
Mrs. Bethanie Hruska.
Fourteen years ago, Mrs. Bethanie Hruska lived in
the state of Maine but she loves to ski, snowboard,
and play in the great outdoors so she heeded
the call of the West and moved to wonderful
Wyoming. As a paraprofessional at Etna
Elementary School, she is now enjoying helping
students achieve their goals and we are very
pleased to add her impressive skills to our staff.

Elementary, My Dear Etna!
Please enjoy the following talents of our wonderful Etna students.

To the Game I Go! by Braxton Byington

Oh my gosh! I couldn’t find coach Abrams anywhere! It was a cold Friday evening. My dad and I were going
to the football game. I had to earn forty points on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I had to earn thirty points on
Thursday to meet the Star Valley Braves coaches and football players before the game. I was nervous because
we couldn’t find coach Abrams. He found us! I was excited to meet the football players!
I walked into the locker room. It was blue with like 20 lockers. The helmets in the locker room looked like the
Washington Red Skins helmets. They were red with a picture of an Indian on them. I got to meet a player named
Nick and there is also coach named Nick. Nick plays wide receiver. I got to shake their hands. I also got to pass
a real football with him.
Next all the players huddled and they put their hands in a pile. Then they said ”Go Braves! We can do it”!
My dad and I tossed a ball back and forth. Nick also played with us. The weather was freezing and my hands
were cold. I put my hands on my dads face and he yelled “ah-ah”. So we went and bought some hot chocolate.
I was still freezing and worried about my dog Bear, so we went home, going to the football game was so fun, I
LOVED IT!

Place Mats for the Thayne Senior Center by Emily Wolfley

On November 19th , 2008 Mrs. Moore’s class made Thanksgiving place mats for the Senior Center in Thayne.
They made them with brown, orange, red and yellow papers. Some of them decorated theirs with sayings like
Happy Thanksgiving and more. Also, some of them drew pictures like turkeys and food on them. They also
made cards for the seniors. They hope the seniors at the Senior Center had a nice Thanksgiving.

Etna PE classes are practicing their “dribbling” in preparation Mr. P. awards the very first Etna
for this year’s Hoop Shoot. The top four boys and girls from Elementary Mission Statement
each grade level will advance to the Star Valley finals at SVMS. T-shirt to Christopher Parker.
Congratualations to Etna’s AR Celebration Achievers!
