UNH Manchester was admitted to the Honor Roll in March for its work in education, community service, and community based research. The college was among only six institutions in New Hampshire and one of 513 across the US to receive this distinction. During the 2011-2012 academic year, more than 240 UNH Manchester students engaged in nearly 4,500 hours of service to the community. Projects included a First Year Service day at the NH Food Bank; the annual Warmth from the Millyard program which provides warm clothing to NH citizens; and the Undergraduate Community-Based Research Course in which students act as problem solvers to assist a community organization to better serve its clients.
