Horsewin Report and Handicapping Tips

The two columns of selections- WIN and IN-THE_MONEY - present a unique and highly effective handicapping tool. Column 1 uses a range of handicapping measures including speed to create individual rankings. Column 2 employs a set of independent pace measures to identify other abilities that may affect the outcome of a race. Top Ranked Contenders win at the highest percentage with an expectation of a 30% win rate. The win rate will vary day to day. With this rate of performance expectation, these top ranked horses are also viable keys in exactas and other exotic wagers. Races that present wider variance between the two handicapping methods may be more wide open and different strategies can be employed. Consider boxing top Ranked Horses in Ex or other bet types. The top 2 ranked horses are viable keys in 1st 2nd and 3rd positions in Ex Tri Super Bets Remember Favorites win over 30% and ITM more than 60% and may be included Ex Tri and Super key and part wheel bets LEGEND PRG NO: Program Numbers in Post Position Order ML ODDS: Estimated Morning Line Odds offering Track Handicapper Selections based on lowest odds = top selections WIN SELECTION: Horsewin Race Selections based on top pick =1, 2nd pick =2 for a complete ranking of the field based on the application of proven handicapping methods including speed SCR - HORSEWIN POINTS assessment to determine WIN SELECTION IN-THE-MONEY PICK: this column provides rankings based on alternative method that employs PACE and other Handicapping approaches. May identify contenders that may be overlooked by more traditional methods but have a chance to hit the Board. This column can be used to validate the WIN SELECTION as 1-1, 1-2 , 2-1, 2-2, 3-3 type horses will have higher win percentages. However, a single high rating in this column may be a contender e.g. 5-1 profile CS: X= Significant Positive Class Change P: X= Positive Pace Profile SP: X = Fast Enough to Win Today EP = Early Pace and LP = Late Pace - L = Low, M= Medium H= High H+= High Plus - Use to assess Race Pace Profile and how contender fits with competition. FTS/FNA means first time starter or first in North America PSP = Ranked by previous speed - RSP = Ranked by Recent Speed - In both Speed Rankings Red indicates Fast Enough to Win CL = Ranked by Closing Ability or Late Kick - J/T = Ranking of Jockey and Trainer Factors TIPS 1. Play CLass * if only one in the race 2. Play Firsters when Two or less * under SP XXX Horses have a positive profile for today's conditions and should be given a closer look in your Handicapping and Betting Strategies.
