SELECTING A LOCATION
Your security safe should be installed in an isolated, dry and secure area.
For greater security the safe must be fastened to solid surfaces. Ideally the safe would be installed
to both a wall and permanent shelf.

SECURING THE SAFE


Secure the safe to the wall and permanent shelf using the holes and hardware provided.

Mark the holes to be used. Drill the appropriate diameter and depth of pilot holes depending on
the type of hardware being used and the type of mounting surface. Source the safe with the
fasteners.

NOTE: The safe needs to be upright and right side up or the locking mechanism won’t work.
POWER SUPPLY
I. Battery
The working voltage for the product is equal to 4 1.5v 5# alkaline batteries.
Warning: Batteries of any other specification or rechargeable batteries are prohibited for
use, or the electronic system will fail or even the mechanism inside will be burned.
II. Test battery energy
Press the locking key “#”, and the battery energy test procedure will start. If the display reads
“BA-HI”, it means the batteries are normal; if the display reads “BA-LO”, it means the batteries
are low and must be replaced as soon as possible.
III. Replace batteries
1. Pull the door open the make sure the power switch is in the “O” (off) state.
2. Use a hex screwdriver and ring screwdriver to remove the two screws from the back
cover. Pull out the back cover and you will see the battery compartment.
3. Take out the old batteries and replace them with 4 fresh batteries by lining them up in a
manner as indicated by the “+” and “-“signs.
4. Apply the back cover and secure it with screws.
5. Turn on the power and press until it is in the “I” (on) state, and now it is ready to work.
IV. Cautions on battery use
1. When replacing batteries, remember to replace all the batteries at once and never use old
and fresh batteries together.
2. Never break up the batteries, or it may cause short circuit.
3. Never dispose off the batteries to fire or similar high-temperature mediums.
4. Never mix the specified batteries with over types of batteries in use.

CODE SYSTEM
The product uses three code systems
One system is the personal code system;
Another is the personal credit card system;
Still another is the emergency code system;
Notes: the back-up personal code for the product on delivery from manufacturer is “1234””,
and the back-up emergency code “011223”.

Warning
For the purpose of security, the user should change the back-up personal code and emergency
code prior to use and as soon as he or she purchases the product. Or the company shall not be
responsible for any theft caused by such negligence.
Tips
1. The personal code is a code system that may be set at 3 to 6 digits. The product on
delivery comes with a present 4-digits code system. If you wish to use 3-digit, 5-digit or
6-digit code system, you may contact the service center or local distributor who shall
provide related assistance.
2. The emergency code system is a code system that may be set at 6 to 12 digits.

Note
In this manual, the illustration for “personal code system” is based on the 4-digit code system
and the illustration for “emergency code system” is based on the 6-digit code system.

PERSONAL CODE SYSTEM

I. Set the personal code


1. Open the door with the back-up personal code “1234” or the emergency code “011223”.
Caution: Ensure the door is at open position (that is, the locking bolts retract),
otherwise you will not be able to set a new code.
2. Key in a 4-digits combination that you desire, and the display shall flash the
corresponding digits; then press the “LOCK” (#) key to actuate automatic extension of
the locking bolts, and the display shall read “CLOSE” and subsequently flash the four
digits you entered just now for 0.5 seconds. At this point, you have completed the setting
of 4-digits personal code.
(Note: We have used “2345” as example for 4-digit personal code. You may choose your
own 4-digit combination for security.)

II. Open with the personal code


Key in the previously set 4-digit combination while the display flashes the digits entered. The
display shall then read “OPENED” as the bolts retract automatically. Now pull the door knob
lightly, and the door opens. (Note: We used “2345”as example for 4-digits personal code in code
setting, therefore the code for opening should be “2345” here.)

III. Close with the personal code


1. Close the door and key in the 4-digit combination that you have set, the display will read
the digits you entered.
2. Press the “LOCK” (#) key, and the display will read “CLOSE” as the locking bolts
extend.
3. When the door is safely locked, the display will again read the 4 digits you have just
entered, which will disappear after a few seconds. Notes: Each time you lock the door,
you will need enter the user code and then press the “LOCK” (#) key. Such design is for
security purpose.

PERSONAL CREDIT CARD SYSTEM

I. Close with personal credit card


Close the door and make sure the door is unlocked. Place the card flat against the slot (magnetic
strip down) and pass the card from right to left through the slot quickly and in even speed. The
display will subsequently read “CLOSE” as the locking bolts extend. Now the door is safely
locked.

II. Open with personal credit card


Use the same credit card as above (accessible only to the same card for opening) and pass the card
from right to left through the slot in the same way as above. The display will subsequently read
“OPENED” as the locking bolts retract. Now the door can be easily opened.
Note: The card reader system is designed to have high safety features and be accessible to the one
and same card only. This means you must use the same card for locking and unlocking of the safe.

Tips
Once you select to use the personal credit card system, you will not be able to use the 4-digit code
system, and the vice versa. This means you will have to choose one of these two systems. If you
wish to use the two systems together, you may contact the service center or local distributor who
shall provide assistance in the respect.

EMERGENCY CODE SYSTEM


I. Change emergency code
1. Reset the system power (push the power switch from “I” (on) position to “O” (off)
position back to “I” (on) position), and the display will subsequently read “SECURE” and
“GOOD”.
2. When “GOOD” disappears from the display, push the “*”key twice, and the display, will
read “PROG”. Then key in the original emergency code “011223”, and the display will
read “NEW”.
3. Key in the any combination of 6 to 12 digits that your desire, the display will read
“AGAIN”.
4. Again key in the emergency code you have just entered (in case of combination of less
than 12 digits, you will need push the key “#” for combination), the display will read
“DONE”, indicating that you have successfully changed the emergency code.
Caution: Before changing the emergency code, you have to enter the back-up emergency
code.
(Note: In the diagram we use “456789” as example for the new emergency code. You may choose
your own emergency code for security.)

Warning
Always remember the new emergency code, or you will not be able to change it again.

II. Emergency use


The emergency code is to be used in time of emergency only. This means you may use this system
only when you forget your personal code or have lost your personal credit card.

III. Open with emergency code


Key in the 6-digit emergency code (confirmed to have been changed), and the locking bolts will
retract. The display will subsequently read “OPENED” and the door may be easily opened. (Note:
We have used “456789” as example for the new emergency code, therefore the emergency code
for opening is also “456789”.)

MOUNTING
I. Preparations and check before mounting
1. Determine the location and size for mounting
a. Fix the case in a place where it is not easy to remove the ensure security of product.
b. The product may be either mounted inside a cabinet sitting against a wall or mounted on the
floor with a special-purpose bracket.
c. Please pay attention to shape and size of the product corresponding to its model.

2. Compressive strength and surface evenness of the place for mounting


a. Fix must check and confirm the bearing load of the location for mounting to avoid any incident.
b. You must check and surface evenness of wall, cabinet or floor. Any uneven surface may cause
difficulties in mounting or tripping hazard.

II. Mounting method


The product may be mounted by securing either the back or the bottom of the safe. You may
select the appropriate mounting method considering the varying situation.

1. Mounting by securing the back of safe


a. After determining the place for mounting, drill holes for expansion bolts (or clamping screws)
in the right place.
b. Use the expansion bolts (or clamping screws) to secure the case to wall.
c. Make sure the case is mounted in place as required and then tighten all screws.
Note: Use the expansion bolts when it is a concrete wall surface.
Use the clamping screw when it is a wooden wall surface.

2. Mounting by security the bottom safe


a. After determining the place for mounting. Drill holes for expansion bolts (or clamping screws)
in the right place.
b. Use the clamping screws (or expansion bolts) to secure the case to the floor.
c. Make sure the case is mounted in place as required and then tighten all screws.
Note: Use the clamping screw when it is wooden floor.
Use the expansion bolt when it is concrete floor.
Tips
If you need the product to be mounted right on the floor, you may choose to the special- purpose
bracket supplied as an optionally supplied item. Two types of special-purpose bracket are
available: triangular bracket. Please contact the service center or local distributor.

DATA DISPLAY
I. Normal data display
AGAIN: (AGAIN) indicates that you need to key in the previously entered digits a second time.
BA-HI: (BA-HI) indicates that the batteries are normal.
BA-lo: (BA-LO) indicates that the batteries are low.
CLOSE: (CLOSE) indicates that the locking bolts are extending automatically.
CLOSED: (CLOSED) indicates that the locking bolts have extended.
Done: (DONE) indicates that you have successfully completed the operation.
New: (NEW) indicates that you have need to key in new digits right now.
OPEN: (OPEN) indicates the locking bolts are retracing.
Opened: (OPENED) indicates that the locking bolts have retracted (you may open the door).

II. Error data display


When the following data appear on the display, it means an operation error has occurred and you
will need to operate per the following instruction:

HOLD15: This data appear on the display after you have entered the incorrect code for four times
in a succession. It means the electronic code system is now locked out and that you will not be
able to operate the keys until the system unlocks itself in 15 minutes.
ERROR: This data means you have swipe the credit card or entered the code incorrectly and
that you need to swipe the card or enter the code correctly.
ERROR1: This data indicates the door fails to open as the bolts get stuck. In this case, give a
push to the door to set free the bolts before you perform the opening operation.
ERROR2: This data indicates the bolt stud is being held (the door may be left unlatched) and
locking bolts fail to extend. In this case, give a push to the door until it firmly fit into place before
you proceed with closing operation.
