Bollywood: Sachins new field

ood morning everyone! And good afternoon to those of you who had a late Friday night. Im thrilled to be back writing my column after what seems like forever. Theres lots of new columnists, and I seem to be the only veteran here, so Id like to take this opportunity to offer my support to anyone who needs it. Ive been at this for a couple of years now, so I know lots of adjectives and stuff. Today, unfortunately, is one of those days where adjectives fail me. (Also failing me today are adverbs, but around the world theyre generally accepted to be the least trustworthy lexical category, so I cant say Im extremely surprised). Ive spent the past month shooting on the outskirts of Rajkot, in a place called Wankaner. Most of you wont be familiar with it, but theres an extremely large palace there, and it makes a pretty spectacular shooting location.

The shoots been going well, no complaints there, but I have to say I hate shooting away from home. You spend a month, two months, sometimes even more, away from friends and family. You live in a hotel room (which can get pretty depressing), eating hotel food (which can get pretty heavy) and generally having no life besides work. Working in the movie business is pretty consuming, and you generally dont get much free time but at least if youre shooting in your home city, you get to go back to your own house at the end of the day. You can meet your friends a couple of times a week, and recharge your batteries (figuratively speaking). All this is a long-winded way of explaining why adjectives (and those cursed adverbs) are failing me today Im utterly drained. I could really use some recharging.
