To date, DMCI has constructed the largest number of commercial establishments, high-rise offices and residential condominiums and infrastructure projects in the Philippines, as it has literally created todays Makati Central Business and Ortigas Center financial districts, and continues to do so. For the Ayala Corporation; the Ayala Triangle Tower I, the Philippine Stock Exchange Plaza and Roxas Triangle; For major Banking Headquarters, the Fareast Bank, Citibank, Urban Bank, Equitable Bank, BPI and UCPB bank; Five Star Hotels, the Shangri-las Mactan Resort & Spa and Makati Shangri-la Hotel, Manila, the Westin Philippine Plaza, the Manila Hotel and the Hyatt Hotel; for large Commercial Malls, the SM Megamall, the Glorietta 4 Mixed-use development, the Alabang Town Center; for high-end condominiums, Five Rockwell Condominium Towers, the countrys single largest high-rise project to date. In 1992, DMCI was named Outstanding Contractor in Building at the inaugural Philippine Construction Industry Awards. In addition, DMCI has received a certificate of appreciation from the U.S. Department of Navy and Safety Awards from Flour Daniels Corporation for two million accident-free man-hours at the Shell Petroleum Corporations STAR project.
