Stand up to the Con-Dem government!

The TUSC stands in opposition to public spending cuts and privatisation, calls for investment in publicly owned and controlled renewable energy, the repeal of the anti-trade union laws, and the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. FIGHT EVERY CUT!

Use all the legal powers available to JOBS, NOT HANDOUTS TO BANKERS councils, including powers to refer local NHS AND BILLIONAIRES decisions, initiate referenda and organise public commissions and consultations, to PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENTSTOP oppose both the cuts and government polices GLOBAL WARMING! which centrally impose the transfer of public services to private bodies. DECENT PENSIONS AND BENEFITS When faced with government cuts to council funding, councils should refuse to SOLIDARITY NOT WAR! implement the cuts. We will support councils www.tusc.org.uk which in the first instance use their reserves www.socialistparty.org.uk and prudential borrowing powers to avoid passing them on - while arguing that the best way to mobilise the mass campaign that is necessary to defeat the cuts is to set a budget that meets the needs of the local community and demands that the government makes up the shortfall.

Rotherham has to face budget cuts of 30 Million! Guess has been and who will be asked to cough up Council house rents up 20%.

If politicians from all parties agree that we, the working class, the poor, the have-nots, must pay out money to bailout the banks and corporations it must show that the Financial Crisis and the Austerity budget cuts are being used for no other reason than to squeeze every last penny out of our pockets! The reason for this isnt just greed. The capitalist system is based on the idea that EVERYTHING must be done for PROFIT and they know that WE have more important things in life other than money!

For councillors who refuse to cut!

In the May 2011 local elections, the Chris Bingham of the Rotherham Socialist Party stood in the local elections as a Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) candidate for the Boston Castle ward.

We got 211 votes (5.1% of the vote). We think 10% unemployment (20% Youth this is because there is an appetite for radical change in Rotherham. There is an alternative Worker controlled industry and business; resident controlled Rotherham can fight back, as we have done community; an economy planned for social need before, and see off the weak Con-Dem not for private profit; nationalised, worker-run coalition who nobody voted for and nobody public transport and utilities wants!
