About the Job
The Passamaquoddy School Committee at Pleasant Point is seeking applicants for the position of:

PROJECT MANAGER
For a new school construction project KNOWLEDGE OF: design review; project control principles, practices and procedures, project management principles and practices; construction management, quality control, and construction contract administration; building codes and other industry standards of practice and design; product specification and performance literature; applicable federal, state and local policies, laws, and regulations; project budget preparation and administration; monitoring program/project operating budgets, costs and schedules. SKILLS IN: Planning, organizing, and coordinating projects of similar size and complexity; managing a project from inception through post-implementation; organizing, leading, facilitating and participating in teams; working under pressure and meeting deadlines; analyzing problems, developing and implementing solutions;

working with diverse individuals from multiple disciplines and organizational levels within the Agency; establishing effective and cooperative working relationships with others; communicating effectively, both orally and in writing; interfacing effectively with consultants and Agency personnel; listening effectively to others; and, mentoring other personnel with project management duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Five years of demonstrated management experience in capital buildings projects/public works construction. Experience should include contract management, cost control, direct problem solving and negotiation with architectural/engineering and construction firms. Demonstrated understanding of construction trades/crafts and blueprint reading is a plus. Desired: CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is desired, but not required.
