The driving force behind Xplores success has been its Voice of the Customer approach the product development methodology based on the daily challenges faced by clients in the field and on the front lines. The company listens to what its customers say and then focuses on designing, developing, testing, and delivering the most rugged, reliable tablet PCs in the industry with the critical wireless, performance, and expansion capabilities customers demand.

SETTING NEW STANDARDS IN REAL WORLD RUGGED

Xplore computers meet the strictest specifications in the world and reliably perform under the toughest conditions. Thats what we call Real World Rugged. In the real world users dont drop their computers onto plywood over concrete. They drop them from four feet directly onto concrete. A Real World Rugged tablet needs to survive under those conditions. Xplore tablets do. Others dont. But Real World Rugged means much more than the number of drops to concrete a tablet PC can take. Xplore computers are dust -proof and protected against water immersion up to 1 meter while the system is on. They are even certified for Hazardous Locations. Thats what our customers said they needed. Thats what we built. Xplore computers are first tested at our own in-house laboratory. Next, the systems are third-party tested to certify that they meet or exceed stringent real world specifications based on the Military Standard for Environmental Testing (MIL-SPEC-810G), Ingress Protection (IP) 67, and Hazardous Location (HazLoc). These certifications include: 4 drops to concrete with system on proven through a total of 26 different drops 7 operating drops to plywood over concrete Submersion in up to 3 feet of water Extreme temperature tolerances as low as -4 F and as high as 160 F Resistant to blowing rain, sand, dust, and salt fog spray Withstands constant vibration and crash shock
