TONIGHTS GAME: The Cardinals continue their season-opening 3-city (MIA, MIL, CIN) roadtrip tonight with the first of three games against the Reds at Great American Ball Park. First pitch is set for 6:10 p.m. CDT. COMING UP: The Cardinals and Reds will meet tomorrow night (6:10 p.m. CT) and Wed. afternoon (11:35 a.m. CT) before the Cards make their way home for the teams Home Opener this coming Friday, April 13 (2:15 p.m.) against Chicago. K OPENING ACT: The 2011 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals have opened their 121st season of play in the National League with a division-leading 3-1 mark, defeating the Miami Marlins 4-1 last Wednesday night and taking 2-of-3 at Milwaukee over the weekend. K NEW SKIPPER: Mike Matheny became the 49th manager in St. Louis Cardinals team history when he was named to the position on November 14, 2011...Matheny was a catcher for the Cardinals from 2000-04...at 41 years, the Reynoldsburg, OH native is the youngest active manager in the majors.
