Natural Ventilation and Lighting systems make use of nature's own power source to provide interior spaces with a fresh air supply or natural daylight illumination. They offer a modern, realistic and compelling alternative to artificial cooling and lighting for new and existing commercial, industrial and domestic projects. A natural ventilation system captures external air via roof or wall-mounted terminals that use the aerodynamic principle of the stack effect to draw fresh air inside which simultaneously extracts any stale air from the space. Airflow, temperature and CO2 within the system are monitored and controlled via pre-set sensors and user-friendly, wall-mounted controls that can be used to open and close the system dampers automatically (based on pre-set extraction rates) or manually based upon the CO2 level as indicated on the control panel or as necessary. All of our units offer the option of being controlled via wireless technology connected to any existing BMS or internet system. We also supply traditional combined sensors (with 0/10v outputs) or sensors with inbuilt BACnet communications (which supply a modulating control signal to end devices such as window actuator controllers). Natural lighting systems are the perfect complement to our natural ventilation systems. They work by capturing external light via roof-mounted domes and amplifying it as it is transferred to the internal space to be illuminated. The benefits of piping brilliant, natural sunlight into a space are numerous. Our natural light systems have successfully transformed homes, offices, schools, factories and hospitals, simultaneously reducing energy consumption, building running costs and aiding common seasonal workplace disorders like SAD. Natural ventilation and lighting systems, by their very nature, deliver a significant reduction in traditional energy running costs and can improve staff productivity and reduce sickness by the removal of stale air from the daily working environment and use of natural sunlight over artificial illumination. The additional night time purge of stale air also creates a fresh working environment for staff the following morning and overall offers a better control of building temperature and CO2 levels. Passive Ventilation Systems The size and type of application is virtually limitless. Additional roofmounted turrets and wall vents can be added for larger applications and rooms can be individually monitored and controlled as necessary. Our product range is constantly evolving from our principle winddriven terminals and wall vents to advanced eco-technology such as solar-powered units that use the suns energy to power additional fans in the unit that can accelerate the air input rate - particularly useful on hot or humid summer days.
