Please limit your response to each of the following questions to about 75 words. 1. Why did you decide to run for this office? Experience that I wish to apply in the governmental sector converges with our countrys needs for developing jobs and lowering debt. On a personal level, I have always been interested in serving in this manner and this is the time in my life when I have the opportunity to step up and offer my service. 2. How much will your primary campaign cost? Total cost will be in the range of $25,000 to $30,000 because I believe it is more important during the primary to shake as many hands as possible and talk to people in the district than to deliver one-way communication via traditional media. 3. Key endorsements you have received: I am not seeking endorsements during the primary. 4. Have you ever been convicted of a crime, been disciplined by a professional licensing board/organization or had an ethics violation filed against you? If so, please give the details. No. 5. Have you ever filed for bankruptcy, been delinquent on your taxes or other major accounts, or been sued personally or professionally? If so, please give the details. No. 6. Why should people vote for you? What separates you from your opponent(s)? Be specific. People should vote for me if they seek the candidate with clear vision who puts economic prosperity for Oregonians #1. I am fiscally conservative and support a balanced budget that protects investments made by seniors into Social Security and Medicare. I would help reduce our climbing debt through Congressional restraint in spending, and I have the know-how to help reduce government regulations that have needlessly stifled the private sector from creating more jobs in Oregon. 7. What are the three most important issues you would address if elected? How? (75 words
for each issue)

A. Fiscal responsibility with clear vision toward spending within our means and beginning payback of our countrys debt. Fiscal reform is critical to work rapidly toward a balanced budget. We need leadership, and leadership is not just saying words that voters want to hear, but it is about doing the right thing and achieving results. B. Economic prosperity for Oregonians by continuing to push for responsible utilization of our renewable natural resources including logging and fishing, both for job creation and for our counties revenue stability. I support free enterprise and expansion of exports that lead to job creation in manufacturing, milling and other industries.

C. All of Congress must address the importance of integrity so voters are assured that what is said is transparent and matches with what is done. It is past time to regain trust in our Congress. Approval ratings are at an unhealthy all-time low. Representatives in Congress must communicate and behave so that the body as a whole is no longer dysfunctional. 8. What do you see as other important issues? Social Security and Medicare being maintained for our seniors, implementation of existing immigration law, coming to agreement on medical care, and control of governmental efficiency and federal administrative overhead that is too costly, among other important issues. 9. What magazines, newspapers and Web publications do you regularly read to keep up on the news and developments in your areas of interest? The Wall Street Journal, The Oregonian, the Statesman Journal, and online I read newspapers from smaller and rural communities in the 5th Congressional District. 10. Any skeletons in your closet or other potentially embarrassing information that you want to disclose before it comes up in the campaign? None.
