Funding Department by Aravin, Tze Yun, Victor & Heng Wei

After a gruelling and mind-blowing meeting, the four of us decided on the following project to carry out as our virtual project.

SU-lympics
Its been proven again and again that sports is the ultimate way to communicate with SU-eans and its quite lucrative too. Next year, we would like to carry out the SU-lympics in April. This particular month because the students are just out of their March exams and back from their holidays, ready to plunge into the dead boring and taxing school life. The minute they get the chance to drag their minds away from the boredom of school studying and what more with their own friends, theyll grab it. Well be playing 4 games which are; 1. Basketball 2. Badminton 3. Football 4. Kabbadi

The variety of games is bound to attract the attention of students from all backgrounds and cliques. Heres a more thorough breakdown of the games: Basketball 5 vs. 5 per game, School Court, RM30 entry fee, RM80 reward prize for the winning team. Badminton Doubles and Singles games, School Hall, RM15 entry fee, RM35 reward prize for winners in each category. Football Penalty shootouts during recess against our own keeper. RM1 to take a shot with a free drink if the person scores. 8 vs. 8 football game, School Field, RM40 entry fee per team, RM100. prize for winning team. Kabbadi 7 vs. 7 game, School Hall, RM35 entry fee per team, RM90 reward prize for winning team.

We decided not to set a limit to the number of team taking part in the games to encourage more teams to take part (and to increase earnings). If we feel that the number

of teams are stretching our abilities to manage, then well stop further teams from registering because of the overwhelming response were bound to get. Prize money will be taken from the collection of entry fees of participants.

While the games are going on, were sure therell be spectators. Well harness their buying power by selling drinks and badges while the games are going on. Drinks The cost of a can drink (probably 100 Plus) if we buy in bulk of 300 cans is 0.90 sen. Well sell each can drink for RM1.80. Badges - We have a reliable source where we can get badges with any colour for 0.60 sen cost price. Well sell the badges (2 designs) at RM2.00 each.

With the set budget of RM500, we will only use up RM390 leaving RM110 in case of an emergency or mishap. We hope to raise at least a thousand ringgit provided we get a good response. In the event of poor response, we can at be sure that there is an almost nil chance of us losing money. Thats it for this project. We think its a good idea and we hope you do too. Done by, Aravin.
