From the Director, TET, Lr.Rc.No.146/B1/TE/TET/2010, Dt:14.06.2011. **** ORDER:In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act, NCTE, New Delhi had laid down minimum qualification for a persons to be eligible for appointment as a Teacher in Classes in I to VIII in its Notificatin dated 23.08.2010, the Governor of A.P,, hereby maked the following amendment to the APTET Rules 2011, issued in G.O.Ms.No.51, School Education (Genl.II) Department, dated:16.04.2011:_ AMENDMENT In the said rules. In Annexure for (1) (b), the following shall be substituted:b) Candidates Other than Language Pandits seeking appointment for a medium in a school should opt that language of the medium as Language I under TET for Paper-I or Paper-II. He should have studies at least up to Class X either in that medium or studies that language as first language at least up to class X under state Syllabus. In respect of CBSE/ICSE Class X have equal weightage in terms of marks, syllabus, periods in time table etc. Language Pandits should choose the language they pursued in their Pandit Training Course under Language I Of Paper-II of APTET irrespective of their medium of study in school or medium of school they intend to join in future. The following examples will clarify the doubts of Candidates other than Language Pandits on eligibility criteria 2. The Director, APTET, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
