The creation of Internet has paved a way for the introduction of personal blogging. Blogs when first introduced were websites that a writer can express their individual opinions on that can be publically or privately displayed on the Internet. In todays culture, blogs are not only restricted to being written in a diary entry format, but are now used as a way to advertise and showcase the latest trends, new gadgets and even an individuals personal style in fashion.Street Style Photography has impacted the world of blogging in a colossal way. Most style icons in the fashion industry have blogs in which they showcase their personal sense of style by being photographed to display what they are wearing. Street Style photographers often scout for the most fashionable, creative and boundarypushing individuals that express their creativity and fashion sense in what they are wearing. Street Style Photography also plays on the idea of surveillance; it is as if these individuals are constantly being watched hence why they are always aesthetically representing themselves in a fashionable manner. 8 NINETYONEMAG.COM.AU VOLUME FIVE

Street Style blogs such as Stockholm Street Style, The Sartorialist, Face Hunter, We the People and Sydney Street Style are all rich sources of inspiring individuals that showcase their creativity in terms styling themselves. These blogs are not only accessible at any time but they also set trends within the fashion world, and establish a relatable connection between designer, consumer and futurecustomer. Over the years, Street Style blogging has evolved dramatically and not only attained a large fan base of online readers but has also paved a way for other bloggers to create their very own blog sites inspired by street style blogging and photography. Street Style Photography has also elevated into a new form of fashion photography, and has inspired photographers to broaden their observations in the environment, as they photograph random individuals for their styling aesthetics. In todays society, blogging has not only become a world wide phenomenon, but also a trend that has paved the way for many style icons that have now branded themselves through their websites.

CELEBRITY Stevie Valentine was born into the rock star world. Hailing from a famous background, her parents were highly respected music icons in the late 1960s-1970s. Fame, money and status came naturally into her world. Having rockstar roots, she was exposed to the music industry at a very young age, prompting her to venture out on her own as an artist herself. She continues to push the boundaries in terms of her provocative fashion sense having been modelled for many independent fashion companies as well as photo shoot collaborations with stylists. Stevie Valentine finds her style inspiration in icons such as Coco Sumner, Mia Tyler, Leigh Lezark, Alice Dellal and especially Kate Moss in her earlier years as an emerging supermodel. Valentine is highly intrigued by the 1990s era of grunge music, and often incorporates this in her personal styling. Ripped jeans, high-waisted leather shorts, Doc Marten boots, midriff tops, leather on denim and simple white plain tank tops are what Valentine opts for instead of the whats seen in glamorous it-girl icons in Hollywood.

money, fame, status, that doesn't mean sh*t to me... sometimes."

Shes active in the socializing scene and is often photographed by Mark the Cobrasnake at a common Los Angeles hipster party, as well as Last Nights Party events. In her spare time, Valentine is a professional Disc Jockey, and often plays at urban gallery openings, cool events and casual nightclubs and bars. She also models on a regular basis, and has appeared for online shop look books as well as independent fashion brands campaigns. Stevie opts for the more laid-back, casual and simple style when it comes to her fashion sense. A fan of Calvin Klein plain singlets, leather jackets thrifted from vintage shops, over-sized plaid long sleeve shirts, mesh bodysuits, studded vests, as well as rugged acid-wash denim, Valentine dresses in an effortlessly cool vibe. Her love for 1990s grunge fashion is seen through her favourite accessories, a bowler hat, maroon suspenders and stark black Doc Martens. She is known for her trademark butter-blonde hair, often left quite teased and messy. Valentine is the epitome of the effortless, cool, Hollywood it-girl that to the public is perceived as someone nonchalant and non-intrigued with latest trends, therefore she dresses as how she feels and doesnt glamourize her look to a typical celebrity extent. I remember being asked once where I picture myself to be in ten years time I had to pause for a moment and think to myself, I dont want to be setting a goal I know I probably wont be able to accomplish. All I know now is, I love life, I love music, I love DJing and making people feel good at gigs, and I freaking live for having fun. Valentine shows just how easygoing she is, even though she is surrounded by the bombarding lifestyle of Hollywood celebrity.

its funny how judgemental people can be. Just because I have a rockstar dad, doesn't mean that's all I've got backing me up."
