1. jojo610Mar 5, 2012 02:07 PM Hi Chrissie, Nice ideas here! I like ideas A and B, maybe you could combine the two like the dog gets eaten by the postbox for peeing on it and becomes jubilant? Great start to the unit!! ;D ReplyDelete

2. tutorphilMar 5, 2012 03:00 PM this does mean of course, you've got to draw and animate... a dog! ReplyDelete

3. mikesmallwoodMar 6, 2012 02:36 AM Hey hey hey Im loving these ideas! However just to note, You are making him/her Jubilant at the ends in all of these. perhaps try to come up with somthing where it has it in the begging or the middle instead of the end ? Just an idea to move things about and see what you come up with? :D But yeh nice ideas A and B stand out for me so keep it up! Have a nice day now. ReplyDelete

4. mikesmallwoodMar 6, 2012 04:38 AM Hey hey. I was thinking, to help everyone in the group to get started we could meet up Wednesday (as we all have to come in anways) and have like a little group chat about ideas ect. This should help get everyone off and going, and should help if anyone is struggerling. Message me back at what you think. Have a nice day now! ReplyDelete

5. Chrissie PetersMar 7, 2012 01:19 AM I see what you mean, Mike, but the trouble with being jubilant is that youve first got to have something to be proud of!

You should try to draw these four seens to see if you are able and how you would draw these two characters :)

I like this idea Chrissie although instead of having the postbox jubilant right at the end perhaps it is jubilant to begin with then the dog pees, making it frustrated. As soon as it eats the dog it goes back to being jubilant again.

hey Chrissie, I agree with Ollie too and maybe you could have the dog peeing on the postbox, box gets frustrated, dog teases postbox, like do a raspberry, running around it in circles, sweeping dirt at the postbox or even pooping on it just to get the postbox really angry so that it eats it up and becomes jubilant? ^_^

Hey this is really good! maybe could do with some slowing down though? so we can see all of the movement which is really good.

mikesmallwoodMar 12, 2012 04:37 AM Hey hey, with your scribd posts, they are somewhat distorted. This is solvable by saveing it fisrt as a pdf then upload to scribd. Also Im likeing you Bio's and your time mehine ogr. Keep it up and have a nice day now!

jojo610Mar 12, 2012 12:44 PM Hey Chrissie, I love your premise!! sounds really appealing!! This story sounds more better than the other one! :D Can't wait to see your character designs!! :D ReplyDelete

tutorphilMar 12, 2012 04:13 PM Hey Chrissie, I'm just thinking about all those humans in your animation... I'm wondering if maybe you could accomplish a lot of it with footsteps - and then just have hands appearing in a sort of close-up when you need them. Also - have you considered maybe staging it so that we hear approaching footsteps, and we see the postbox anticipating receiving a letter - only for the person to pass, and we see the postbox sigh; this could repeat a number of times (using SFX, and just the pillarbox reacting) - you could even include the original dog wee gag - again using sound, footsteps, a bark of the dog, then we see from the pov of the pillar box a puddle at its base - and then, finally, a letter gets posted, and then we see the cartwheeling pillar box as scripted? I'm just thinking of you really and the visual pleasures of this kind of economy of staging... ReplyDelete

mikesmallwoodMar 14, 2012 04:34 AM Sounds really good and the way you have set this out is really professional :) The hole sound effects (states by Phil) would be a good idea, I can imagine a post box just waiting to get all those nice letters ;) The dog gag as Phill said could still be in it, I was thinking of when the guy takes the letters away and it becomes somewhat sad the dog enters and pees and then disappears as it is eaten. Then the post box being happy once more. ReplyDelete
