SENIOR WEEK 2012: Around the World in 8 Days

FRIDAY, MAY 11th


Senior Week Registration 10:00 AM 5:00 PM in Leavey Program Room Senior Week 2012 is herepick up your wristband and senior t-shirt! Registration and t-shirts are FREE. IMPORTANT: You must register TODAY to attend any of the weekend events. Note: Next registration will be Sunday, May 13th 8PM-9PM in McDonough Tent. Bring BOTH one form of government issued ID and your GOCard. Senior Send-Off with the 2012 Class Fund 6:00 PM 8:30 PM in Fisher Colloquium Learn about the many opportunities to stay involved and benefit from Georgetowns alumni community! Speak to representatives from Georgetowns largest local Alumni Clubs (DC, New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Boston, Philly, and Miami), the Alliances (Wall Street, Entrepreneurship, Chicago Business, and Tech), Alumni Career Services, and the GU Alumni Association. You can make your gift at the door if you have yet to do so! Wine, beer, and hors doeuvres will be served. Note: if you made your gift online THIS week, please bring a copy of your receipt.

SATURDAY, MAY 12th


Senior Retreat May 12th May 13th Take some time away from campus to reflect on the events of the coming week. Sponsored by Campus Ministry For more information and to register, visit: Senior Retreat DC Duck Tour 11:00 AM 1:00 PM See DC from both land and sea as you experience one of the citys famous duck tours! The tour will leave from Union Station and the cost will include a Metrocard. You must RSVP on-line and pay $10 to reserve a spot.

Ocean City Trip

Buses leave Southwest Quad at 9:00 AM Buses leave Ocean City at 5:00 PM Live like they do in Miami Beach as you enjoy a day of sunshine and amusements! Head to a local eatery to enjoy Ocean Citys great Restaurant Week deals (Click Here). You MUST receive your wristband at Fridays registration to ride the buses. Alcohol is not permitted on the beach. You must RSVP and pay $15 in advance to attend; space is limited. Adams Morgan Bar Night 10:00 PM 2:00 AM in Adams Morgan Buses leave from Southwest Quad from 9:30 PM 10:45 PM. Buses leave Adams Morgan from 12:30 AM 2:00 AM. Drink specials at Madams Organ, Grand Central, Town Tavern, Heaven & Hell, and more!

SUNDAY, MAY 13th


Champagne Brunch 11:00 AM 2:00 PM in Leos Come back to Leos one last time for mimosas and a Parisian-style brunch! *Each person will receive two drink tickets* Sponsored by Student Affairs Hoya-to-Hoya: Faculty/Staff Alumni Reception 5:00 PM 7:00 PM in Riggs Library Anxious about graduation? Listen to university faculty and staff who are also alumni speak about their experiences with Georgetown both before and after graduation. Light refreshments will be provided. You MUST RSVP on-line AND receive a ticket at registration to attend the event; space is limited. Cinco de Mayo Keg Party 9PM 1AM in McDonough Tent You can register from 8PM-9PM inside the tent. Missed celebrating Cinco de Mayo due to final exams? Its not too late! Experience the sounds of the IMAGE band, a local DC reggae group. Wristbands are required to attend.

Class of 2012 5K Run

9:00 AM 10:00 AM ending in Red Square Participate in a 5K run through Georgetowns beautiful campus. Even if you dont plan on participating, come and cheer on your friends! Georgetown Running Company will provide prizes to runners with the best times. Class Day Activities 11:00 AM in Gaston Hall Celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class with student speeches, senior superlatives, and more! To give a speech, submit a sample of your talk to scc@georgetown.edu by Tuesday, May 1st at 5PM. To nominate friends for superlatives, visit: Senior Superlatives Rocklands BBQ 2:00 PM 4:00 PM in Red Square/Copley Lawn Relax on Copley Lawn and indulge in a Texas-style barbecue provided by Rocklands! Play games on the lawn and spend the afternoon with good friends. Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) Senior Workshop 4:00 PM 5:00 PM in White Gravenor 103 Come learn about the Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) and how you can get involved as an interviewer for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. A reception will follow the info session. Freshman Hall & Transfer Social 5:00 PM 7:00 PM Darnall, Harbin, VC West, New South, Village A Patio (Transfers) Head back to where it all began! Enjoy an ice cream social with friends outside your freshman residence hall and record your favorite Georgetown memories on our versions of Pragues Lennon Wall. Nationals Game 7:00 PM at Nationals Stadium Cheer on the Nats as they take on the San Diego Padres in Americas favorite pastime! Tickets must be purchased during on-line registration. Cost will be $12, which includes ticket, $10 food voucher, and round-trip metro card (ticket valued at $30).

Senior Convocation 2:00 PM 3:00 PM in McDonough Arena *Seniors must arrive in SWQ Courtyard at 1:00 PM in graduation gown and optional cap* Procession begins at 1:25 PM and proceeds through the McDonough tent. Reception in Leos follows at 3:00 PM. For more information, visit the Class of 2012 Commencement website. Asian Heritage Ceremony 4:00 PM 6:30 PM TBA This is Georgetown's second celebratory commencement for Asian graduates. In collaboration with the Center for Multicultural Equity and Access and Center for Student Programs, the Asian Heritage Ceremony serves to honor its Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) and International Asian students; as well as allies who have helped contribute and advance the APIA community at Georgetown. The celebration aims to recognize the achievements of the graduates, and celebrate the cultures and legacies that have shaped their paths at the Hilltop and beyond. Each student will be presented with a complimentary stole to honor his or her Asian heritage. The ceremony will include a distinguished guest speaker, student speakers, and a reception.

Harambee 2012 TBA This ceremony is an annual tradition that recognizes the magnificent achievement of our Black graduating seniors. Personal invitations and RSVPs are required to attend. Despedida 2012 TBA This event is sponsored by CMEA to honor Georgetown University students who, over the past four years, have served the Latino community either on campus or in the larger DC area. Personal invitations and RSVPs are required to attend. Senior Ball: The Final Chapter 9:00 PM 1:00 AM at Union Station Experience a magical evening at Union Station with friends and family to celebrate the Class of 2012! Unlimited drinks, amazing food, and exciting entertainment will be showcased throughout the evening.
